Librett Biodegradable Natural Jute Twine, 252 FT - 16oz - 5 Ply

This is god twine. I purchased it to re-cover scratching posts for my cats and it is okay for that but the string is pretty thin even though the ply would seem to indicate it would be thicker. I won't be getting it again for this purpose because I want a heavier cord but is is good quality.

If you have the need for lengthy twine this is it. I'm using this to grow hops and needed multiple long twine run (20+ feet). This should last me for a couple growing seasons. I wasn't familiar with how thick 5ply would be. From the pictures it looks thicker, but in the end still perfect.

It looks like a much thicker rope in the picture than it actually is. But it is what I ordered and it does still do what I need... sort of, just had to double it up. I like that its good biodegradable jute - good for kitty claws to dig into! Good delivery time.

it is well made and doing the job I needed it to do.It is strong, smooth textured, making it easy to tie, and biodegradable.I do not have to go back to remove it later.

Got this for my hops. Works just fine. Can't say much other than that the hops grow around it perfectly with no help from me. Can't beat that.

I use this for fire starting when practicing primitive technologies. Great stuff, I just cut 8" and pull it apart to make a nice nest, add some shreded bark and get a spark. Works well with friction, ferro rod or flint & steel. Haven't tried a magnifying glass yet. This aught to last me a long long time!It also works well for lashing, shelter building, I bet I could weave a net with it also! 550 cord is much stronger, but this is more authentic, and old school, and it will disintigrate over time

I am not familiar with jute or the way it smells. When it arrived it had an odor to it... reminds me of juniper in a way. it wasn't that bad but I contacted the company and they said their Natural Jute is not treated with anything, which is important because I want to use it in my bird room. The twine is a little less than a quarter inch wide. This is a fine size for my use.
