I lovedthe idea of an airrgapped cold storage unit however, for me, the implementation here is not good: slow device too small for my fingers to us to typeand poor printed instructions once as soon as the memory card jammed I gave up

I am NOT new to crypto. I researched this very carefully and thoroughly before and after I bought it, and I am very happy with how the Ellipal works. If you lose it, your crypto is still safe and accessible to you (as long as you followed the instructions and backed up your mnemonics). If you break it, your crypto is still safe and accessible to you. If someone steals it, your crypto is still safe and accessible to you. This device is a convenient way to store your private keys, is safe (completely offline / isolated from the Internet), and is not a single point of failure that results in the loss of your crypto if it is lost or stolen (as long as you follow the directions and backed up your mnemonics).I personally keep most of my crypto keys in a paper cold wallet, and I keep a small amount in the Ellipal that I can carry around with me to trade / spend. It's really handy because it both reads and displays QR codes, reducing the chance of typing in wrong info when sharing public keys during a transaction. I initially thought the display was of low quality because you have to look at it directly facing you to read it, but once I started actually using it around other people, I realized that this is a favorable trait because nobody around me can see what I'm doing on the screen. You can also have multiple accounts in the Ellipal. I have my wallet, and my wife's loaded in. Both wallets have individual passwords and passphrases for each individual wallet. You can also link your wallet to your phone to see how much is in the wallet, but you cannot gain access to any of those funds without the private keys stored in the Ellipal, so losing your phone is not a risk to your crypto.I have nothing negative to write about my experience. Maybe the charger connector could be a little better because it gets knocked off easily during charging, but it works fine. And, I only charge it when it gets down below 50%, which is about once a month / maybe 6 weeks depending on how much I use it. When it's off it doesn't seem to drain the battery at all.

It worked first day I bought received it.. I set it up then it died and hasnt turned on in 2 months. I want to return it but I put my crypto in it already. I'm afraid I will loose all my investments, if I haven't already

Reminds me of an old school android. I like how simple it is. My only thing; the battery is like a thin magnet so u can't be moving around or anything , u gotta be careful . But it get the job done and I trust it

In terms of function, the wallet at least meets my expectations. I certainly like the lack of ports/internet access. The integration with the app is also intuitive. Downsides: as seen in the photo, there is an air bubble in the screen visible when turned off. When turned on I don’t notice it. Also, you will have to purchase a separate micro sd card to update the firmware before use. Overall, I would purchase again.
