Plastic magic!
I ordered a tub of Polymorph Plastic from Materialfix at 1:30 in the afternoon and it was delivered next morning via Amazon Prime. We don't always receive this level of service in the Scottish Highlands. A very good start. The product comes in a strong plastic tub with a screw lid. On arrival the tub was sealed with foil, a great idea, prevents thousands of tiny beads of plastic falling out if the lid should find its way off in the post.I have couple of wardrobes with loose handles, they are made of quite a soft plastic and screw holes have become enlarged. I though this fix would be a good first job to use Polymorph Pastic on. I dropped a few of the pellets into a small container and added hot water. The pellets very quickly turned from white to clear, indicating that the product was ready for use. The softened plastic pushed easily into the hole in the handle and after waiting a couple was set hard.Brilliant job, the handle feels more secure than it did when new. One down, seven to go!When softened, the Polymorph Plastic is very easy to shape and the next project for me will be to make some small replacement parts for some slot cars which have seen some action.A very useful product with many, many uses.

Brilliant stuff Quick Delivery
Brilliant Stuff & Fast Delivery . . I bought this Polymorph plastic to make a modification to an expensive Army Knife I was using as part of my Field Archery kit. The Knife is used for digging stray arrows out of tree's and roots but the pommel was pointed and could not be driven in with the heal of my hand. To solve this I simple melted a couple of Tbl spoons of granules in hot water and moulded them over the existing pommel and allowing it to cool .Once you take it out of the hot water it quickly becomes handlable and easy to mould . . TOP TIP if once it cools it has a wrinkled surface put it back into hot water just long enough to re-melt the surface and smooth it over with a wet hand and if it all goes wrong or you want to change it again just put it back into hot water and it will melt again and again . . Really useful stuff for repairs and modifications as it sets into a hard Nylon Type plastic

Does what it says on the tub
Whenn heated up in hot water it melts to a soft putty consistency. It has a work time of anbout 4 minutes, but can be infinatly remelted to be reworked. once fully set it is a ver hard and durable plastic. I'm quite impressed.I have a freezer with shelf runners that are moulded into the walls of the freezer. Somehow one of the freezer baskets had gouged the runner and was wearing it away. We thought we would have to buy a new fridge freezer because of this! A few table sppons of this stuff and 5 mintes work to backfull and reinforce the damaged runner and it can take the weight of the full basket, wich must be 8-10 kg.Literally about 50p of this stuff saved a £500 fridge freezer for a few more years, and I still have loads left! What else is broken?

Great fun for adults and kids if helped by an adult.
I love this stuff, find it fascinating. You just pour some into boiling water and you see it turn from white to clear. Drain the water and mould into desired shape and it hardens into a prettier hard but flexible plastic.I wish i had this stuff when i studied design engineering, could have made so many things from it.Whats great is even if you mould something and dont like it, just put it back in boiling water and you can remould it. If its a lump, it does take longer to soften than when its in granule for because of the larger surface area but just be patient :)i used this to make hooks round my garage and house for hanging xmas lights and it worked amazingly well. i did have to take it out in hot water and resorted a few times since it was so cold outside and it was hardening the material quickly but i made small hook shapes and softened a ball at the end and pressed it into small gaps in the wall or moulded it into areas of roughcast and when it hardened its fixed well. If i ever want it out i'll just heat it with a windproof blowtorch style lighter. I'm going to try adding food dye in future but for now, going to paint them so they don't stand out so much.Great product and lots of fun!

Very useful, and fun to use.
This stuff is great! I put it in a mug of water in the microwave to soften it up, and then it can be molded into all kinds of shapes. When it cools it's very strong - feels like nylon cooking utensils. It can be heated again to reshape it, so I think 500g will last a long time. It came in a nice jar with a sealed lid. The plastic is white when it cools, and disperses light quite well (I embedded an LED in it to test). I highly recommend it for makers & tinkerers.

Mended fridge drawers.
Used this to repair two fridge drawers which would otherwise have cost £120 to replace both. The repair was much stronger than the original.I used a Stainless steel dish with boiling water and used a large serving spoon to smooth the plastic and form it into a sheet before removing it. It was workable for about 10 minutes. For larger projects I would suggest using a large oven dish

Meh
It becomes really runny when melted but it hardens really quickly and you have to melt it in small portions.

Going to need more soon
I ordered form Materialix and I am very impressed with the fast delivery. The product itself is better than I expected. It is really easy to use and once dry it is a very hard plastic. I used it to increase the size of my computer mouse to fit better into my big hand. Was amazed at how well it worked and I now have something that is made to fit my hand exactly. I would recommend this product to anyone it is extremely versatile and I keep on finding new ways to use it.

Gut und praktisch
Gut formbar, dicht.
