I have a couple of other Tough Master brand tools which are excellent, including a smaller spirit level. This one I have to say is equally good, the quality is absolutely superb. A good spirit level is essential for so many applications, be it carpentry, building, fencing, in fact a plethora of uses.All too often, the quality of tools can be pretty suspect, and varying, and certainly there can be a wide difference in the quality of spirit levels, some being really cheap and nasty, others the exact opposite. This one is unequivocally superb quality, and clearly of precision construction, well-made, tough, and heavy dutyThe main body is powder coated aluminium, the flat plane area (for most of its length) is highly magnetised. I presume therefore that it’s part aluminium alloy. Good feature. The spirit level has handy rule markings, which is good. A really excellent feature though is for the 90° (vertical) measure – it has dual view, so can see from the side, but also the top. So if you have the measure flat on a wall, for instance, directly in front of you, you can see the measure from the top as well – brilliant! It also has tough, protective, rubberised end caps.This spirit level is 600mm in length, so perfect for larger areas, and has the ability to check horizontal and vertical planes, as well as 45 degrees. It doesn’t though, as some do, have a rotating window (45 degree one) for varying the angle, this one being fixed.Overall, this is a professional standard, very high quality spirit level, that’s well designed and constructed. This spirit level has a good weight to it and feels extremely strong and well built. It is made from aluminium for the main body, which is magnetic, with rubber on either end. It has two holes in the centre which you can use to grip the spirit level with which makes it easy to handle in use. There are three spirit level bubbles which can measure a 0-degree, 45 degree, and 90 degree angles and there is also a viewing window on the top which allows you to see the 90 degree spirit bubble through the long edge of the spirit level. This is very handy, so you don’t always have to be side on to see the bubble. This is quality made spirit level that is built to last. The horizontal and vertical bubbles are very slightly out, and I mean slightly. They do state it is accurate within 0.5mm, which coincides with my findings. Maybe I have one that is just slightly off but I’m more than happy to use it putting up shelves or other small items. A little more expensive than others but now I’m holding it, I can see why as this thing is solid and can withstand heavy use.

I’ve had loads of spirit levels over the years but nothing has come close to the solid feeling of this. There’s multiple levels you can use this for like vertical horizontal and 45°, so it’s perfect for most jobs around the house. It has magnets on one side which is great for sticking to steel beams etc. it’s nice and bright so it’s easy to find when you put it down and I like the built in handles which make it easy to carry around.Overall for the price I’m very impressed so far and have loved using it for loads of jobs around the house.

Beasty spirit level.My builder step dad wanted this straight away, whilst he does have a good one of his own, he liked the look of this new one too!This is one of the highest quality spirit levels I've seen. It all feels strong, durable and well made. The size is roughly 60cm x 6.5cm x 3cm.Designed cleverly for what's needed. There is a measuring guide on each side. A central vial, with top and side on view, 2 angled vials on either side, these all work well. Each ends have shock proof caps on, they also have hangable areas, for easy storage. Along the bottom length of the spirit level, is a magnetic area, this is nice and strong and holds on well, even on angles.I would recommend this. I wondered why the price was slightly more than your average spirit level but now I've got it, I can absolutely see why. Perfect for those regular users.

Very close to getting 5 stars, it's lightweight, it's sturdy, the magnetic base is easily strong enough to support its own weight, the horizontal is spot on for accuracy, the rubberised hand grips feel comfortable in hand, there's a mirrored viewing window to help make checking on the vertical bead, a bit easier. It's not necessary but a very nice touch.My one issue, the vertical bead is just a little inaccurate.Test an upright, it's showing as being 100% plumb, flip the bead 180° check the upright against, exact same position....it's not spot on....it's just a little out.But out, is out!! It's close, but it's out!! I guess it's a question of how perfectly straight I need something....I'd like to think I just got a slightly bad one, it's a fault that isn't present in all the others they made...had it been a purchased one, I'd have returned it for a replacement. As it's a freebie trial, I can't investigate further.If it 2as spot on accurate, 5 stars, but debated a 3 or 4, giving the benefit of the doubt with a 4.

The spirit level is very well made with rubberised ends and grab handles, end view window and strong magnets. I tested this against another longer spirit level I have and a laser level and its accurate. Unlike some tools that are magnetic but slide due to the weight this doesn't, it even managed to hold on a plasterboard corner which has the metal edging under the plaster.The bubble vials are large and easy to see and check the level, and these are inset into the spirt level so shouldn't get damaged. Finally it has hanging holes at each end and an accurate ruler along both sides against a flat edge so it draw a a nice clean straight line when marking up. Overall cant fault it, the build quality is good and it feels very solid and something that will last for a long time
