A: Yes, the start stop button fits for 2021 X3

**Q: will it fit 2016 M235i ?**
A: Yes it will. I installed this on my F30, ‘15 328 but if you look up the part numbers for the start stop button on real oem for your 2 series you will see that they use the same part number.

Perfect fit for my 2016 BMW 535i. Install was super easy and took a couple minutes. It comes with a moldable adhesive you press onto the stock start/stop button and let sit for about 30 seconds, then pull hard and the button pops right out. No damage, no hassle. Took a couple of attempts with the included sticky putty but the old button came out. The new one popped in and I was done in less than five minutes. Perfect fit and I think the red looks better than the black and white OEM which was worn. I had watched a YouTube video where they used a trim tool to completely remove the ignition switch and disassemble it to remove the button. Using the sticky putty was far easier and less likely to inadvertently break a delicate piece.
