Reliable
Bought for my husband as his finally broke after several years use (same make). Worth paying a bit extra for quality. Would definitely recommend!

Surprisingly sturdy
I had my doubts about paying a lot for an umbrella, but following all the useless ones I have had before, I decided to spend a bit more, and it was a great decision. Regardless of the strong winds of Scotland, so far it has served me really well, would highly recommend!

The handle/hook too small
The handle/hook is too small, it hurts your arm or wrist when you carry it.

Compact, sturdy, reliable, quality umbrella
Just bought my second of these umbrellas, absolute quality. The first a gift I owned for over twenty years, looked like new worked perfectly, compact, strong, sturdy, reliable, very effective in winds etc, automatic mechanism worked like new, quality manufacturing. This umbrella never let me down. Reason for this purchase, I left my previous one of these in a supermarket trolley it was gone by the time I returned for it. I would gladly, wholeheartedly recommend this product. One of my favourite items. Excellent value for money.

Just one thing.
I bought this umbrella to replace one that was about thirty years old which would no longer stay open. I like the new umbrella very much. It is sturdily made, not heavy, and even in a really strong, blustery wind it does not come close to blowing inside out. Although when not in use it collapses to a mere 11" or so in length, when open it is more than big enough to keep the rain off someone who is larger than average. Just one thing though. When collapsing the umbrella you have to make sure that the hand with which you are holding it is clear of the descending struts otherwise they will "bite" you. Once you have pressed the release button and started to collapse the canopy it is best to release the mechanism and hold the umbrella by the handle until it is fully closed. If you want a good, sturdy and well made automatic opening umbrella at a reasonable price you won't go wrong with this one.

Great sturdy collapsable umbrella
This is the 2nd Fulton Open & Close 11 Umbrella, the last one I, unfortunately, left on a train. No doubt it's new owner will be happy with their find as I was when I first used it!This umbrella is too new to tell if it is the same quality as the one I bought 5 years ago, but on first impressions it certainly seems that way. Very sturdy construction which given past performance will stand up to very, very windy conditions without turning inside out. Overall a light but great umbrella.

Well made, strong and compact
Although this looks expensive it really is worth the money. I’ve had a previous version of this same umbrella for at least ten yearsI won’t tell you it never turns inside-out in high winds, but I can tell you that if it does it is easy to return to shape and not fall apart,The Auto mechanism has never let me down and it is light and easy to pack and carryMy last one didn’t fail, it just didn’t survive my 105 kilogram (16 ½ stone) bulk landing on it when I tripped overI didn’t hesitate to buy another, and this mildly updated version seems even sturdier
