Think this company makes quality products
From reading the reviews about this product, it seems that some people might have unrealistic expectations of this product. My understanding is that this is a mainly preventative measure against pathogens, such as root rot of various kinds, for example. Once a plant is already sick, then this is highly unlikely to save the plant, if this is the only measure being used. It might be worth a try, but I would not be too hopeful.. You use this to prevent your plants being attacked in the first place, and to create a more healthy environment in the root system/growing medium. I use this mainly for plants in pots or baskets, simply because, although a 75 gram packet is enough to treat 375 litres of soil, to use this for growing vegetables that are in large containers, or even for flower beds, is simply to expensive for me. I used this product, mixed with the compost, the mycorrhizal product from this company (MycorrMax) applied directly to the roots at planting and their Bactor added to water for the first watering with my hanging baskets last year and saw a definite improvement in the plants. They were quicker to flower, got less diseases and generally looked a lot better - my baskets never look as good as I'd like, so was pleased with the results. Using all three products is probably overkill, as the MycorrMax also contains trichoderma, and some, if not all of the bacteria in the Bactor product. With this type of product, it's always quite difficult to evaluate the effect, I find, unless you grow two plants next to each other in the same conditions, one with and one without, which I've not got round to doing - did mean to leave one basket untreated as a "control" but then forgot.. So many other factors can affect plant growth and health, so it's hard to tell whether it's this product that has made a difference or something else, but I mention the baskets because I did the same thing as I've been doing every year, but got noticeably better results, although the weather was worse, so think it highly likely this was due to using this, along with the other 2 products.. If you want to try using trichoderma, I would recommend this product. It's impossible for the average consumer to verify that this type of product actually contains what it says it does, but this company specialises in fertilisers/additives etc, and I definitely rate their MychorrMax over the Rootgrow product, as I never saw any difference using that, but with the MycorrMax, am pretty sure that it actually "took" at least with some of the plants I used it on, as I had mushrooms growing out of the compost a few weeks later (and I checked pics online and they were the correct type), so am quite confident their products are of good quality.
