This lens, although cheap and with manual focus, delivers a really good image in the final result, crisp and with nice colours. The quality seems good, not plastic. Great for every type of photography, especially the type in which you have time to manually focus on the subject.Really good in low light, with its f1.8, giving good results with a budget lens.Highly recommended

Certainly not premium lens but they got pretty good glass on them and the build quality feels solid, these have a nice weight to them too, reminds me of the old school lens my dad had around the house all in all they work well and will save you quite a bit of money.

I bought this lens to use with my Nikon FG 35mm film camera but the sample images were shot with it mounted on my D810. It is a well made metal lens that comes with the lens hood and matching lens cap on. The lens cap actually fits on the end of the hood. The hood can be removed to fit filters.The sample images show a sign shot at F1.8, flowers at F1.8 and a zoomed crop and the church tower was shot at F5.6 to check infinity focus with a zoomed in crop.The only downside which I knew from reading another review is that this lens has no electronic contacts to control aperture so it cannot be used on A as the description says. This is a fully manual lens and is best focused at the widest aperture and then stopped down to the shooting aperture. This means that this lens takes a little bit of effort, no problem for portraits but it could be an issue for moving subjects.The F stops are different from what most photographers will be used to going F1.8 F2.5 F3 F3.5 F4.5 F6 F10 and F22

Bought this for my Nikon D5100. Despite it saying it does work for this model, it doesn’t! Attached the lense to the camera and on the screen it says ‘lense not attached’. Clearly NEEWER haven’t heard of the Trade Descriptions Act

Ideal for beginners in photography to learn focusing and aperture setting with it being full manual.Apart from that is not too bad and a average lens at a low price.

I bought this lens to capture some of the natural beauty and bird life in the area I live in. I am no expert on lenses, but wanted something that delivered some nice crisp images. As this was appropriate for natural images, I took a stab at it and so pleased I did given the outstanding quality of the pictures.

So I've been using this lens now for a while on and off since I bought it. This is a portrait lens and the one I'm using is a Nikon Version but I've stuck it on a Sony Alpha 6300 body. Its very sharp for the money. All I use it for is point and shoot video or photos. I'm not a camera expert in anyway but this fits my needs very good for photo-shoots and very good in low light too with a F1.7 aperture. Very clean lens I've it on a micro 4 thirds so obviously the lens in some way will be cut down in the 6300 being not full body camera and all. Is this worth my money or your guys and gals. I can only say about me in all honesty due to the fact I love photography and video-ogrophy. I've quite a few videos over on my YouTube videos using my camera or even the lens over on anthonykennethbishop on my playlist Sony Camera andvlenses section. By far, the sharpest lens I have ever owned, better than my Nikon lenses.

This lens has a good weight to it. This is a manual focus lens. The focal length gives you a medium distance away from you subject. I found this lens to be a good value for a starter lens.

Hay que aceptar que no es una gran óptica, pero por lo que estás pagando, es mucho mejor de lo que uno se imagina.La construcción es muy buena, firme, no es un lente frágil, eso ayuda bastante. La saturación de colores no es muy buena, por lo que si eres principiante, te costará un poco de trabajo lograr los tonos que esperas. Yo lo uso principalmente para video y no me ha quedado mal, sobre todo al utilizar un control de imagen FLAT donde no importan mucho los tonos. Las fotos salen bastante bien, aunque deberás cuidar muchísimo tu enfoque sobre todo con diafragmas abiertos.Definitivamente es un lente de apoyo, nunca lo usaría como primera opción, y no lo recomendaría para principiantes. Les constará mucho trabajo el enfoque, primero porque no es muy suave, pero sobre todo porque es completamente manual.Lo he usado tanto en full frame, como apsc y funciona perfecto. Si tienes cámaras de gama baja sólo deberás considerar que para poderlo usar deberás liberar el motor de enfoque.

Me compré este objetivo porque, por muy poco dinero, me daba la oportunidad de probar dos cosas por las que sentía curiosidad. Una, la distancia focal de 85mm, muy interesante según muchos. Dos, la experiencia con un objetivo totalmente manual.Lo he probado en una Nikon D3500. Para poder usar el objetivo tengo que ponerla en manual con lo que la experiencia de uso es 100% manual. En algunas opiniones había leído que se podía usar también en modo semiautomático A, en mi caso no es así pero vamos que me da igual porque los resultados obtenidos me parecen espectaculares. Es una lente pequeñita de tamaño (el 50mm de Yongnuo se ve más voluminoso) pero tiene un peso que la da una fantástica sensación de solidez. En mi cámara no le cuesta encajar absolutamente nada, incluso lo hace con un ligero click. Tengo otros objetivos Nikkor que cuesta encajarlos más que éste en el cuerpo de la cámara, lo cual me ha sorprendido mucho.La experiencia de trabajar con este objetivo totalmente manual es muy diferente a la de los objetivos automatizados. Te empuja a hacer fotos muy diferentes. El andar regulando manualmente cada parámetro inspira a ser más creativo y a explotar todas las posibilidades de la luz probando toda clase de locuras. No es que no se pueda hacer con las otras lentes, claro que se puede, pero el trabajar en modo 100% manual de algún modo te fuerza a explorar territorios desconocidos para tu cámara y es una gozada.Poder ver en tiempo real, por el visor, como afecta la apertura del diafragma a la luz que entra en la cámara es una pasada. El enfoque manual puede parecer un poco rollo al principio pero le coges el truco rápido y tampoco es algo tan difícil de gestionar. Es más, la confirmación de foco del visor funciona en muchos casos, echándote un cable en esos momentos en los que dudas.Desde el cuerpo de la cámara puedes seguir modificando tanto la velocidad de disparo como el ISO y en combinación con tus ajustes de enfoque/desenfoque y el juego con el diafragma puedes conseguir efectos muy creativos y bonitos. Por supuesto si simplemente quieres hacer un buen retrato lo puedes conseguir con una calidad asombrosa. La óptica del objetivo es muy, muy buena.La relación calidad-precio se sale de cualquier escala. Simplemente, por lo que cuesta, me parece un objetivo imprescindible en la colección de cualquier aficionado.
