Hotpoint Anti Vibration Sonvera Pads, Set of 6

A quick google search after the over stopped working (Fan and backlight were on but no heat) I realised it must be the element and took the £13 gamble to replace it myself.Despite one stubborn screw it was relatively easy to replace (Had a bit of trouble removing the wiring from the existing element as well) but I was able to fit it in under an hour with the help of a youtube video or 2!A month later and the oven is still working fine so very happy indeed!

Installation is so simple. In main oven, remove the rear backplate (while oven is off at wall) and then the 3 retaining screws on the old heating element. There are two cables attached which slide off and fitting the new element is dead simple. After back plate was returned to its original position I put the oven on for about 30 min to make sure the new element was working fine. Old one had broken during dinner the night before and new element was installed the next day. Delivery was next day and new element was well packaged. I have added a picture of the original element I removed which clearly shows where it failed.

This is a 2kw heating element and not some anti vibration nonsense. Can be replaced from the front inside the oven with removal of 7 screws and 2 wire connectors. Ordered one 4 years ago and this is the second one I've fitted. We do a lot of oven cooking so for this price it's good value. Will be buying another one in 4 years time.

Good product and well packaged. Reasonably easy to fit but a bit fiddly for a person who is doing this for the first time

Have been using this now for approx 2 months no issues works fine, very easy to fit as from the front you can undo the 4 screws of cover plate and old element removed and this new element fitted in (20 min job). first I thought I would have to remove the whole unit out but on my hotpoint oven it could all be done with oven staying fitted as is.

I found this a relatively easy replacement to do. Isolate electricity, remove the 4 screws on the fan cover, then move the two or three screws which retain the heating element. The replacement item was identical and was back in and working in a matter of minutes. Highly recommended as a value for money repair vs replacement of the whole oven.

Ordered this as our oven gave up the ghost and kept tripping the mains. They said 4 day delivery but it turned up next day !! Took about 15 mins to fit ( turn oven off from mains) , remove about 6 screws and then refit with new element. All works fine and were cooking again !
