CAMELBAKAntidote Cleaning Kit - Black, One Size

I know I did. 3 months ago actually. It was pretty grim in there - I'll spare you the details. This kit saved the day though.I don't have a Camelbak hydration pack - mine is a Shimano Unzen 15, but this kit still works. The handle on the big brush was a little short for my particular hydration pack which has quite a tall, narrow 3 Litre bladder, but still does the job perfectly. the kink half way down actually really helps you manoeuvre it into all the awkward spaces where the mould gathers and the bristles are fine enough to get into all those tight corners.The hose cleaner though... THAT is a thing of true beauty! It's actually quite therapeutic, almost fun, to poke it in and around down the drinking hose and it works so well! the litle ring tab on the end (which is missing from the stock photo) stops you pushing it in too far and gives you something to grab hold of to get it back out with. The hose on the Unzen is very long, but this was plenty long enough to clean ALMOST the full length of it without having to go at it from both sides... Almost!Despite not having the designed clips and hooks, I still managed to use the 2 blue arms to spread open the pack so that it would dry out properly, and the yellow hook worked just as well on the Unzen too.The cleaning tabs are a thing of mystery as well. Once dissolved the water in the bladder with them turned a very murky shade of green after a few moments - I'm not sure if that's a natural reaction to the tab dissolving or some kind of indicator as to the level of much you're dealing with, but one tab turned very green for me. It helped make sure I rinsed every last drop of the stuff out though, so perhaps it turns colour for a reason.Safe to say I can use my hydro pack again safe in the knowledge that I'm not going to die, and that if I forget to clean it again there's a 2nd cleaning tab to sort it out with! :D

Water bottles / bladders in general have a tendancy to have a growth of black mould (which is quite toxic) over time. They do, after all, provide a damp and dark envirnonment... This cleaning kit certainly does the job of keeping my camelbak clean and, just as important, drying it out afterwards. I am not sure if it was quite worth the money I paid for it but I would still prefer to pay a small premium rather than a cheaper option which may not do the job sufficiently.

cleaning tablets (plus 5-6 rinses with soap and water) did not make the plastic taste go away. unbearable.

Perfect for cleaning the camelbak omega reservoirs. Hanger and clip to allow air to pass through the bag whilst drying. The long, narrow bottle brush is perfect for cleaning the tube, and i cant think of anywhere where a similar brush could be purchased seperately. Ideal for it's intended use, but a little costly. At least you only have to buy it once.

Very good, got my smelly camelbak clean. Ignore the review that says the tube brush doesn't fit, it does.

Really a bit overpriced for what it is. I could have acquired the bits in a hardware store for a lot less.
