It was patterned from an original emblem, and is 1" round. It is a Cloisonné Tie Tack, meaning it is a die struck metal ( not plastic or paper ), with a hand painted enamel colors. These are top-of-the-line, jewelry-quality emblems. Cloisonné emblems have a smooth, hard-polished look, with a raised metal 3 dimensional look and feel.
