Bought this to test my Uric acid levels. Once i figured out how to actually get the blood to be taken into the testing strip it worked great. Word of warning, before you send it back thinking it doesn't work, the blood is drawn into the test strip from the side of the strip (thin edge and on the left edge only) not the top or flat part of the strip as shown by the various diagrams.

I bought this to test my uric acid levels due to gout. The machine seems easy enough to set up however I cannot get a reading. I have only managed to get two readings out of 15 strips so far all the rest just register as LO. (Yes I do know the blood enters from the side)I have put the strips in the fridge as instructions say to store strips at 1 deg but do not freeze, not sure how you are supposed to store them at home as the freezer is set to -18 and the fridge to 4 deg?

I returned my Tester as it would not give a Uric Acid result. Glucose worked but no matter how many attempts and amounts of blood I tried the Uric Acid test just showed the code and awaiting blood. The customer support is on China and so I did not attempt calling them.**** UPDATE ***** The supplier has contacted me by email and explained the Uric Acid Test strips are used in a different way. Sample is added at the side not tip of the strip. They will be updating the instructions to show this more clearly.

I bought this device to monitor my uric acid level. I tried it three times based on manual with same finger blood and results are all different. Its 482, 884 and 912 and same days GP blood test result is 629. Totally waste of money

Easy to use. I suffer from gout and this device keeps an eye on my uric acid levels. Also good to keep monitoring my glucose levels as I am in my 60s.
