In this hilarious and suitably outrageous series that followed hot on the heels of The Young Ones , Nigel Planer, Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson join forces under the penmanship of Ben Elton to break the fourth wall with a sledgehammer in Filthy, Rich and Catfl ap. Mayall stars as Richie Rich, the entirely unfamous and massively selfcentred zlist celebrity and television presenter, supported by his doggedly loyal entourage of one, Edmondson s Eddie Catflap. Represented by their dour agent and occasional pornographer Ralph Filthy (Planer), the series finds Rich and cohorts leaving a trail of dead milkmen in their wake, appearing on TVam, engaging with a morally lax Australian press magnate, entertaining new game show formats and being arrested for shoplifting all of which turn out to be the least of their problems. Featuring a plethora of guest stars including Barbara Windsor, The Nolan Sisters, Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie, Harry Enfi eld, Mel Smith, Anne Diamond and Midge Ure, this 25th Anniversary Edition is an opportunity to celebrate the noholdsbarred talent of a comic writing and performance team at the top of their craft. It may be Thatcher s Britain, but the world belongs to Filthy, Rich and Catflap. CONTAINS SUBTITLES

Classic comedy from Ade & Rick
Another good comedy from Ade Edmondson & Rick Mayall with Nigel planner. Written by Ben Elton and the show they did after the Young Ones. Although not as funny as Bottom still worth adding to your collection if you are a fan of Ade & Rick.

Classic Rik Mayall
I still find it hard to believe that some people have never seen this. This is classic Rik mayall in a very funny and violent stepping stone that bridges the progression from young ones to bottom. Still funny after all these years.

One of my all time favourite series. If like me you can quote every episode word for word you really dont mind the subtitles. A must purchase for Rik fans. What a legend.

Great Bit of Classic Off the Wall Comedy
Item arrived on time and as described. If you are a fan of the Young Ones, The Comic Strip or Bottom then you will really dig this. It is a bit dated (given it was early eighties) but the anarchic characters are spot on. Based around Richy and his showbiz aspirations with Eddie Catflap played by Ade and Ralph Filthy played brilliantly by Nigel Planer. There are also some great cameos from Mel Smith as Jumbo Whiffy (Richy Rich you old b*****d you!) as well as Harry Enfield, Barbara Windsor and many more.

Classic Rick and Ade
Classic, if you're a fan of Rick and Ade you'll love this. The best way to describe it is 'proto bottom' you see a lot of things that work their way into their later work. If you are a fan of the young ones or bottom you'll love this!

Great fun with Rik, Ade & Nigel
Don't listen to these other so called reviews from the USA. This is good fun and great laughs from The Comic Strip alums Rik Mayall, Adrian Edmondson & Nigel Planer. Everything these guys put out is great. The precursor to Bottom. "What are we gonna do about the corpse?"
