Read it, read it, read it, don't let it go.
I loved this book. It's not only interesting but also highly entertained. Some readers could distrust of the content because of the title that sounds a little to self help or something even worst. But it's not the case. Robert Fulghum not only has lived long enough to write a book, he has also lived to read and develop a good literary taste. So don't let you fool yourself by thinking that this book is just another one of those, because it is not. In fact, what makes it special is the position that Fulghum stands in front of topics so diverse as to cultivate a garden, to be a good neighbor or a good grandfather. And that's wise. Fulghum doesn't tell you what is the right way of doing things, he tells you just what he did when he had to. He's so sensible and smart to address the important stuff of living, that it will make you cry and smile (and maybe both at the same time), without ornaments or rhetoric tricks. It is not rare that this book has so many readers after being published and a 25th anniversary edition. Highly recommended.

Sweet Little Book Reminding Us How to Act
I had read the first edition this book years ago, and found it amusing with many kernels of truth. Before my father passed away a few years ago after a lingering illness, I kept thinking that "All I really need to know I learned from Daddy..." We had some lovely conversations in the few months before he passed, though it was difficult for him to speak after several strokes and it was a struggle to understand him. Nevertheless, we did communicate and connect, and when I was preparing for his memorial service, I bought the 15th Anniversary Edition and used it as the framework for his eulogy, which is still folded and inserted in the pages of the book. We learned both in school and from our parents to play fair, don't hit people, put things back where you found them, clean up your own mess, don't take things that aren't yours, say you're sorry when you hurt somebody, wash your hands before you eat, flush, live a balanced life, take a nap, etc. Fulghum restates these and other basic lessons in the first chapters of the book. The balance of the book is filled with 25 new stories, vignettes, essays and remembrances of funny things, people being people, episodes that made him wonder, and musings on life in general. You can choose to read it cover-to-cover or just pick it up and read any chapter. You will be entertained and enlightened, and perhaps decide to relearn some of those things you learned from your kindergarten teacher and parents.

Graduation gift
I was given this book 30 years ago for graduation and will continue to gift it to graduating high school seniors. It’s a great reminder that the basics are taught from an early age.

Perfect for light reading, I took this on a recent trip and it was great! Short eassay type stories and no feeling of oh just let me finnish....as they are 1-3 pages in lengthy (aprox). My husband enjoys it in the bathroom while he is indisposed. The stories are about things you probably already know but rarely really think about, a lot of Ah HA moments for me..WELL worth the time and money.

Livre de nouvelles très bien rédigé, je le recommande fortement. L'auteur aborde des sujets divers qui vous mènent à une réflexion sur vous-même et votre approche du monde.
