Professioanl mold....it is not. It is a cheap thin, light mold for hobby use.
The manufacturer, Tomric, is claiming that their molds are professional grade, made in the US with US materials. On their website they claim that the Tomric "Proline Flat" molds are made of "heavy gauge highly durable polycarbonate plastic" and "similar to injection molded molds but at the fraction of the price". This is from their description "Tomric's Proline chocolate molds are thermoformed molds with a similar thickness and durability as an expensive European injection style mold". ( do you notice the word quality is missing?)So based on these claims I purchased several of their proline molds to use in my start up chocolate business. I was expecting to see a reasonably made mold, comparable to molds made by manufacturers such as Martello or Chocolate world. When I opened the box , I actually started laughing at their audacity to call their molds professional and heavy duty. What I received was mold that is light, flexible, thin walls and by its appearance cheaply made. Since I own other molds by others and they are injection molded molds, I decided to make a comparison to see how far off this mold is from a professional injection made mold. here is the result and you can draw your own conclusions.Mold are same size as Tomric mold, 7" x 10 7/8" ( 175mm x 75mm). Weight is given both in inches and metric.1. Tomric mold, weight is 5.8 oz (167 grams)2. Italian made mold 12.3 ox (354 grams)3. Belgian made mold 11 oz (314 grams)4. Dutch made mold 12.24 oz (347 grams)So as you see, not even close. How can they claim that they manufacture molds similart to European molds does not make sense. The molds I bought on Amazon were listed at $17.95. The above molds that I desribed I purchased in a range of $18 -$24 and if you shop carefully you can get them even at a lower price ( and of course at a much higher price too). I wished the manufacturers stop making false claims and the sellers such as Amazon hold them to their words. In closing if you need some cheap molds to play around with in your kitchen, those will do. How long, who knows. But if youn are intent to use molds in a production environmkent , small or large, you better stick to injection made molds. These are heavy gauge, haevy molds that will last for a generation or two. But as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Great chocolate mold
This mold works perfectly. Chocolate is easy to remove and looks great. Very well made and has held up to several chocolate making sessions. You will be pleased with this mold and I hope they don't raise the price. Seems like every time I write a good review (I don't write or review products often) the price goes up. You'll be happy with this mold-turns out this mold is my favorite.
