Adored it!
I absolutely loved Sophie and Michael. Even though their first date was a bit of a disaster, due to an error on Sophie’s side, they end up agreeing to ten dates to see how good Sophie’s idea of scoring her dates on a spreadsheet actually is. They are total opposites and on paper, they definitely wouldn’t work, yet the more dates they have and the more they get to know each other, they do.Michael is an absolute sweetheart and probably one of my favourite ever love interests. I wanted to both mother him as well as wishing I was single as he gives not only Sophie butterflies, but the reader as well. For as outgoing and full of life that Sophie is, there is another side to her that will tug on the readers emotions and yet again Michael just shot up even further in my estimations. There is a fabulous cast of characters in both human and animal form. I loved Fudge and Princess, Michael’s and his grandmother’s dogs and they both have huge personalities. Betty is yet another wonderful character who steals a bit of your heart and they all felt like good family and friends by the end of the book. Was It Good For You? was so much fun to read as well as lots of tender and heartwarming moments. I loved the contrast of the busy city as well as the idyllic village as you get to see the best of both settings. Friendship and family is a strong theme throughout as well as a blossoming romance with tons of chemistry. A story where you will fall in love with the characters and be left with the most wonderful and warm feelings. Adored it!

A fun romcom
I have been a fan of Kathryn's work for a while now although I still have a way to go to catch up with everything that she has written. I read the synopsis of 'Was It Good For You?' and it certainly sounded like the sort of book I have come to expect from Kathryn - a fun and light hearted romantic comedy. Well it was certainly all that and so much more. I really enjoyed reading 'Was It Good For You?' but more about that in a bit.I have to be honest and say that I found it a bit difficult to warm to the main character of Sophie. There was just something about her that I couldn't really take to. Plus I wasn't too keen on the rather regimented way in which she organised her life. The lass has a spreadsheet for literally everything. She also discusses the spreadsheet results with her friends, which seems a bit harsh. The more I got to know her, the more I got to like her and in the end Sophie felt like more of a friend than a character in her book. I kept everything crossed that she got the 'happy ever after' ending she deserved. What happens? Well for the answer to that question and so much more you are just going to have to read the story for yourselves to find out as I am not going to tell you.It took me next to no time to get into 'Was It Good For You?'. In fact by the time I got to the end of the first few pages of the book, I realised two things - firstly that I was in for a treat and secondly that I would become addicted to reading the story. I was spot on on both counts. My Kindle wasn't exactly glued to my hand but it might as well have been because it accompanied me everywhere. I couldn't bear to miss a single second of the story. Besides I needed to know if the story was going to turn out as I expected it to. I became so wrapped up in the story and in the lives of the characters that I lost all track of time and just how quickly I was getting through the book. I soon reached the end of 'Was It Good For You?'. I found 'Was It Good For You?' to be a delight to read from start to finish with plenty of laughs and romance.'Was It Good For You?' is very well written. Kathryn has an easygoing writing style that is easy to get used to and easy to get along with. In fact reading one of Kathryn's books feels like more of a chat between friends rather than reading a book. I hope that makes sense. Kathryn clearly cares about her characters and this shines through in the very vivid and realistic way in which she describes them. She makes her characters seem just as real as you and I. I loved the way in which Kathryn has combined the romance with the humour. I started chuckling away to myself at the beginning of the story and I kept chuckling all the way through. I love the way in which Kathryn makes the reader feel as though they are part of the story and at the heart of the action. In short, I really enjoyed reading 'Was It Good For You?' and I would recommend it to other readers. I will certainly be reading more of Kathryn's work in the future. The score on the Ginger Book Geek board is a very well deserved 4* out of 5*.

Love, love, LOVE
This was so cathartic and healing. I just loved it so much. The grief, the heartbreak, the healing, the growth of the lovers.. funny and heartwarming. The deeper points were written perfectly. It wasn't suffocating or dramatic, it was realistic.5* because its put such a sappy smile on my face. 2 out of 5 for spice - slow burn, some action but not explicit.

You must read it.
I have read most of Kathryn’s books so was looking forward to this one. The storyline was different. I just loved Michael and Sophie and all the other characters. Michael, stayed with his gran who had brought him up,was such a sweet person and you so wanted him to find his happy ever after. Sophie and her spreadsheets🙄I just wanted her to get rid of them and see what was in front of her. I couldn’t put the book down, all the dates, the village Michael lived in. Just didn’t want it to finish.

A fun read.
I enjoyed this book and read it at one sitting. There were things that grated - people were sat instead of sitting, laughter doesn't peel it peals like bells, and the last couple of chapters could have been condensed into one - hence only 4 stars but in general it is an easy to read book. Recommended.

The perfect romcom
I love Kathryn Freeman’s books and Was It Good For You did not disappoint. I absolutely loved it and wished I hadn’t read it so quickly. Sophie and Michael are so likable. The book has romance, humour and also sadness about Sophie’s sister. It made me think of the singers Mel & Kim who I met in the 1980s at a restaurant I was working in in a Swiss mountain village. This book is a must for all romcom lovers.

Romantic comedy
I probably shouldn't find the "send to all" spreadsheet incident so funny, considering that it was terribly embarassing for Sophie and humiliating for Michael (plus a few others), but I can't help it - I loved that idea and its consequences in the story. So 10 out of 10 for this book's plot, and also for each of the main characters because I really liked both of them. Which obviously adds up to 5 stars.

Spreadsheets vs Love
Sophie is hurt by her last boyfriend who refuses to move in with her so she decides to work up a spreadsheet for every one of her new dates and grades their looks, their sex appeal, their friendliness and a whole list of other attributes. Michael gets a 2.5 of 10 and then Sophie mistakenly sends it to all her dates including Michael. She decides to apologise for this but Michael does not accept it. They agree to a 10 date series to see if he can raise his points. Very interesting idea. Recommend.
