I’m not sure if the weather forecasting works yet or not but the light up feature has been annoying. Out of box the batteries in the base were not working. Additionally there is a remote control that uses a different size battery. There is no on/off on the base. The base is controlled by the remote however after buying new batteries the light in the base keeps getting stuck and you have to remove the batteries in the base to reset the light. This may be getting returned!

The Sanson LED Storm Glass makes an interesting gift for others and even oneself! I purchased this storm glass and had it for over a month and it still functions perfectly. Though I haven’t made use of it as a weather forecaster, it makes for a very pretty and cool desktop decoration (I get questions about it all the time). The most notable feature about this storm glass is the LED lights which was one of the main reasons why I decided to purchase this storm glass. The LED lights are built into the base and features a variety of colors (RGB, cyan, pink, purple, white, etc.) and light settings (my favorite being the “FADE” that slowly transitions between each colors) that can be easily changed or modified with the remote that is included. The only minor problem I had with the storm glass was with the batteries that were included. The batteries that were included for the base was drained so I had to replace the base batteries with cheap batteries I bought from Daiso. Other than that, the storm glass works as expected and makes for a great lamp/light show.

I was very excited for the Storm Glass, especially since it has the led light base. So excited, I bought another as a gift. I opened mine up and put in the batteries...which lasted all of 30 minutes, and like other reviewers said, turned to red, remote didn't work and eventually the light died out. Same with the other one I bought. I thought maybe I just got almost dead batteries. I bought new ones and it lasted about and hour and a half with the same end results. I am sending both back. Too bad I can't get my money back on the additional battery purchase, too.

I liked the fact i was getting a led stand with it and when i received it, it never worked😩

This was one of the most unique ornaments that I have purchased. It looks great on my display shelf; The elegant teardrop shaped glass looks extravagant next to my other decorative pieces. One thing that stands out is that this decorative piece also includes LED lights! This was quite a nice feature, turning this into a colorful lamp. The guests seem to be quite impressed by this display piece every time. One of the problems I did have with this product was the batteries. They came dead, however this was not a big problem. Just make sure to have some batteries on hand (the small circle ones)!

Really cool, way bigger then i thought. Would of gotten 5 stars if the didn't ship it with batteries that are basically dead.UPDATEThe storm glass itself is very cool it's bigger than expected and I'm happy with that. But now on to the rest, everything besides the storm glass is cheaply made. The batteries that come with it might last a day. Because the batteries are so cheap I had to replace them the second day I had it. While replacing the batteries in the remote, the remote crumbled because it is such cheap plastic. So I returned the first one let's see how the second one holds up now that I know to be a lot more careful with it.

Love the concept, but not even 2 days after having it, the LED lights don't work. Tried new batteries still didn't.

The storm glass itself is really cool but the remote does not work well at all. Used it one time before having to replace batteries and they are not cheap!
