Mellow Rocky Base E 14" Platform Bed Heavy Duty Steel White, w/ Patented Wide Slats (No Box Spring Needed)- Twin XL

I had a Zinus Quick Snap 14in platform bed, great steel side supports easy to install BUT the weak flexible slats almost ruined my new mattress; created a hard line vertically under the steel support but major indentations over the wooden slats. I tried a few solutions including plywood support, but AM I EVER HAPPY I FOUND THE BEST PRICE MATTRESS MODEL E HEAVY DUTY STEEL FRAME! I ordered it while sleeping with the mattress on the floor. (ordered it Tuesday, received it Friday morning) To properly assemble it, I suggest two people. You get two Allen wrenches for easy assembly, which is a hint. It took 20 minutes being very fastidious. What makes this platform bed/frame so great is there are support bars going both vertically and horizontally, plus the slats are wide and convoluted steel. (Think I-beams for steel strength..these have folds to increase strength and decrease weight.) Also, the legs are very sturdy and are part of the frame unlike the zinus platform bed that I had. So far, this is the best support for a mattress that I have had. GREAT STRONG SUPPORT; easy to assemble...I almost bought a new mattress because of the aches and pains and human divots. Our mattress has straightened out and we are sleeping well!!!

I did a fair bit of research before replacing my decades old wood box springs and saw this item as possibly having the best design of them all. As far as I can tell I was right. The box was very well packaged. It took me a bit over an hour to assemble this by myself. I assembled it within my wooden bed frame which of course slowed me down a bit. Instructions are simple and clear. All items required are marked. Had this for over a month and it's definitely an improvement even when using my 10+ year old heavy memory foam mattress which used to sag. (Next on the list) This frame does not squeak, EVER. Height and dimensions fit perfectly into my Cal King bed frame. I highly recommend this product.

This is such a great bedframe! My husband and I are both over 250 lbs and this frame is VERY STURDY! My husband and I used to sleep on the couch and floor because we couldn't find a good support for our foam mattress. Our boxsprings would always break, and the wood slatted platform beds are squeaky and easily broken. I did a lot of comparing with other brands, and looked at the structure and integrity of the frame itself and decided to try this one. When it arrived, the packaging was much larger than expected.... but I did just buy a bedframe.... heavy duty at that. It was really easy to assemble and all the tools came with it! I've owned it for over a month now, and we ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS FRAME! It puts our room together, supports our foam mattress perfectly and there is enough room underneath to store stuff! There is no bowing, or squeaking, it supports our foam mattress so it can actually do what it is meant to, and we sleep so well! So happy we got this bed, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a sturdy frame that offers great support for your mattress! Best nights sleep we've had in a long time!

Super Heavy Duty Model E bent after two nights. This occured with a single person 250lbs sleeping normally. The slats are flimsy and bend easily.

Very easy to put together. I'm a 27 year old woman and I put it together myself in under 30 minutes. This platform is very sturdy, but I recommend something lower if you have a thick mattress. My mattress is 15.5" and it sits pretty tall on this platform- way higher than I thought it would be. I also wish I would have got the non-slip platform. With this one the mattress just sort of slides around on top of it rather than sitting inside of it. Not sure how to fix this problem since I also use a bed skirt. My bed is never quite centered on this platform.After trying this platform, if I could start over. I'd order a low profile from that had some fort of lip around the edge so my bed rested in it a bit and didn't slide around.

Look at the pictures. The first picture shows how they're supposed to look. Which is not bent and flat to side and lay 2 pictures showed how bent and not soldiered correctly. Very disappointed.. I went for this pricey one because it looks well made and sturdy but finding this makes me very displeased.

I looked at a lot of frames before I selected this one. So glad I did! This frame was simple to assemble - alan wrench included so all you need is a box knife to open the package it comes in. It is super sturdy too - this will support some serious weight and hold up over time it is very well made and designed. It is a good 14'' as described and that makes for a really tall bed if you have a thick mattress - I would actually prefer a little shorter but we can live with it.It is also a back-saver! We had a box spring and mattress setup and I was starting to have some serious problems with lower back pain, waking several times a night with numb hands and feet and soreness from the lack of support. I could not get 8 hrs sleep because I could not lay there that long - too painful. Good mattresses are expensive and so I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something I'd never seen or tried and so kept putting off buying a new bed until I made up my mind. But I had to do something - my back was killing me. After reading a lot of reviews, I decided to try this platform out since it was not too expensive. I honestly didn't expect to see much difference without a new mattress but am happy to say that from the first night, my back is very happy. Looks like we will not need a new mattress for awhile, since this platform stopped the problems we had with sagging, dishing in the middle and resulting back pain. Only had it set up for a couple of nights and for the first time since I can't remember I am finally sleeping through the night pain-free!!! I am just very grateful and I swear I am half an inch taller already because my back is straight. Yay!
