Extensive instruction. Taking as college course. Additional content helpful.
The book arrived quickly and in perfect New condition. Purchased the Deluxe Edition in order to take advantage of Full Version of Lab Simulator Software and added content. Make sure you register the product codes in the book on the Pearson website. Once registered, make sure to access the bonus content under the Deluxe Edition ebook version online under Registered Products. The access bonus content located with the CompTIA Network+ N10-007 Cert Guide, Deluxe Edition is where you will find the link to the Full version of the accompanying Lab Simulator Software with 75 exercises included with the Deluxe Edition book. Looking forward completing this course and book.

Good resource, you’ll pass your exam, but some missed teaching opportunities.
I found this book to be a useful resource but one that focused a bit too much on “teaching to the test” at the expense of teaching moments. Case in point, the book devotes six pages to discussing command line options for traceroute/tracert but never stops to explain how a traceroute actually works, i.e., incrementing TTL/Hop Limit fields and ICMP Time Exceeded replies. I may not be the real target audience for this book (existing IT Profssional rather than a newcomer), but even so, it seems to me that this would be useful knowledge to share. All in all, the book is a useful resource, particularly with included the video/test prep add-ons from the webpage, and I would highly recommend it, with tha caveat that it should be the starting point for aspiring network administrators, not an authoritative reference.P.S., I did have the issue with swapped codes, noted in other reviews; kudos to the publisher for the prompt replies to affected customers.

The portions I could access were fine and I feel the material and overall product is ...
Access codes issue still happening at least on my purchase. Trying to get help has been ridiculous. I explained I read the access codes issue and tried swapping them with no avail. "Their" customer service replies with what seems to be pre-written replies telling me to swap access codes. And when I asked for a phone number to call for help no one sends me one.In both replies there is a mention of 'call of us for further assistance' but no phone number is listed and I can't find any on their site. The portions I could access were fine and I feel the material and overall product is good and informative. But without the access codes issue fixed, I or you can't access all the content with this purchase such as the N+ Lab simulator.

Avoid the "Deluxe" Edition
While I would like to point out the information in the book seems to be well written, the whole point of purchasing the deluxe edition is to have access to the additional content to help prepare for the exam. Sadly if you did not trust Pearson before, you will not find any reason to here.In sampling the addition content I could access, what I found was severely disappointing. The exercises for example had poor instruction and construction. You could not flow from one to the next and instead would have to double back once done with a problem. The sample size is also quite small per chapter, and there is no spaced repetition algorithms or iterative learning. Once you have solved an exercise there is not much to gain thereafter. You can find far more detail videos online for free from Professor Messer and others. The memory tables are copy pasted from the book into a pdf with no suggested learning approach. The study planner is an excel spreadsheet you can make yourself simply telling you to complete each section for each chapter. The "Interactive Study Guide" is simply radial buttons on a pdf indicating how strongly you feel you've grasped a concept. The flash cards are okay, but again there is no space repetition built in, you'd be better making your own and using the shoe box method to track learning progress. And last but not least I'd love to review the lab simulator, but like many others my codes do not work even when swapped. I may email Pearson, seeing as the obfuscate their call number, to see if I can get the issue fixed, but nothing so far suggest the software will be high quality.TLDR; Just buy the regular book. You won't find anything deluxe about the deluxe edition.

Pretty code so far, but codes are switched around
The codes didn't work for me either, but I called the publisher up who let me know that they had made a printing error. The codes in the booklet are actually correct but they switched them around, meaning the code under the simulator software should be entered into the prep test and the code under prep test should be the one entered under simulator software.

None of the access codes work! I can't run ...
None of the access codes work! I can't run the Lab Simulator nor the Digital Product Voucher! This may be a publisher's issue but hey someone dropped the ball on this one. Anyone else running into the same problem? It seems none of these new codes were entered into their systems.I started a Pearson Support Case but so far they seem lost and asking me for images of the error code/texts.I hope the author reads this!

Access Codes
**Have not taken the exam yet. Not completed the book--just trying to help some of you getting your digital purchase. This is for those of you who got the edition with the mixed up access codes.**I managed to get the exam materials via the following:1. Create or log into your account at pearsonitcertification.com2. Redeem your digital product voucher on that site with the lab sim code.3. Refresh that page and you should see the N+ digital books and link to online exam. Use the access code beneath the link to register the online exam. (I used it to register the offline exam and both sync'd.)4. Download and install the lab simulator and use the digital product voucher code to register.Hope this helps and good luck.

Product codes don't work as others have said.
The book is fine but I can not get the digital simulator. I have swaped the codes as suggested on the insert in the back of the book but it still doesn't work. You can't call anyone for help just some worthless automated online support that doesn't help at all. Don't by the Deluxe expecting to get the extra digital content to get the extra content.
