Great book for Valentines Day! I used this in my classroom to show my students that love is not just kissing, hugging, etc. Great for younger students!

My 3 y/o loves this book and often chooses it at bedtime. The illustrations are great, the message is great. Good representation of diversity.

This is a heartfelt message that equates love to growing like plant… Just like a seedling- it starts off small and gets bigger and rooted as it grows. The message is sweet, very universal and easily understood. This message can be in join at any age however- I find it one of those best delivered when read from a parent to child.. A book that builds a positive reinforcement of love and strengthens a bond between two people.Very sing-songy in rhyme- A few sentences scattered on the pages.. The story is equally felt half with words and the other half in the artistic depiction in illustrations that accompany each verse.Very relatable- both young female/male characters are included.. with the main focus on a young girl. I find this very up to date in its inclusivity- there are multiple ethnicities depicted and even some with disabilities. Genre is present day- as characters are wearing “beanie caps” which speak to current trend and help to make characters identifiable/relatable.(almost despicable Me children vibe- which btw, is all too cute!)Easily giftable to a child or new parents to be- this has a great cover that could even be displayed on a shelf if desired.. Overall, a really sweet children's book. Hoping this info helps your decision- Please stay safe everyone!
