Well made , fits well and fabric is stretchy and soft. Like the addition of a pouch on the belly which can hold a dressing if needed. Washed well. Would prefer a back fastening design because putting this garment on and off is quite tricky and stressful for pet and owner! However that said , once on, my cat is able to move around well and eat and toilet easily.

Our cat had a fairly major operation to his back which involved removal of tissue and some bone. The scar was about 6 inches long, and the shirt both protected it and stopped him scratching it with his back paws. We'd been given an XS by the vet, but it was a bit on the tight side (he's a Bengal weighing just over 7kg).We found that modifying it by cutting off the rear portion which secures with Velcro and poppers around the back legs and tail and the washing instruction tag at the neck made it more acceptable to him, and it didn't ride up that much... Just pulling it down occasionally corrected any 'drift'.The XS size would have been suitable for our Burmese, who's smaller, but the small was perfect for the Bengal.

Great idea but should be made of tougher material as my cat licked it thread bare after a few days. I had to buy several over a few weeks. In the end I stuck duct tape over the suit and sowed it on and this helped the suit last longer.Should be made of something tougher as I say but my cat was far less miserable wearing this than the awful 'cone' of shame. He could eat and sleep with no trouble. Expensive for what is basically a baby gro !

I’ve had two of these medivests in different sizes for my cats. The material is good and stretches, press studs at the bottom end with three lengths. Highly recommended. I bought XS for young cats, and S for one of my other cats. For a large cat such as a Maine Coon you will need M or L. There is a size chart.
