Great product at a reasonable price. This smells great. I used a sandalwood scented oil before, but the sweeter rum smell this gives off provides a much better shaving experience - almost like aromatherapy. Yes, I turned into a shaving snob. This oil is not quite as thick as some of the other products I used but it seems to do the job well. I definitely get less ingrown hairs when using this product before applying shaving cream. I use a double-sided safety razor and shave against the grain for a closer shave. Definitely do not recommend doing that without shaving oil because you will cut yourself all over and get ingrown hairs. This oil works as described and smells great. I will keep buying this and recommend to other snobby shavers.

The product is wonderful but the glass container BLOWS. Drop it in the shower and it can break (like mine did). Next time I'll look fir one in plastic.

The skin on the right side of my neck is very sensitive and I tend to get a rash when I shave. I can't get a smooth shave because I will end up bleeding if I try to. I've used razors for sensitive skin and shaving cream and nothing helps. I tried this expecting the same results. I was wrong. This stuff is great. I tried it with shaving cream and by itself and got the closest shave I've ever had and my skin is smooth and soft. I'll be using this by itself from now on. Absolutely love the Bay rum scent!

Perfect start to my shaving routine. 2-3 pumps and rub on to the skin directly after a nice hot shower. I can emphasize how good the scent is. It's called "Reserve" and it gives off the feeling like your pulling out that special bottle of premium oil. Sweet bay rum and spice definitely more on the manly side. I find it pairs excellent with either a bay rum shaving cream or the go to taylor of old bond sandalwood. Will continue to buy this product and would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys shaving and uses shaving oil.

I don't know why, buy most pre shave oils (PSO) are usually expensive. Once I learned how the PSO provides a great base for the shaving cream and helps the razor blade achieve a close and smooth shave, I haven't shaved without it since. My usual favorite PSO is from Art of Shaving, but since they are $25 for 2 oz bottles I like to search Amazon when its time to reorder looking for new brands that are a good value.I just found Bohemian Brothers, and its a bargain for only $15.17 2.0 oz bottle ( or $7.58 per fluid/oz) when compared to the Art of Shaving PSO 2.0 oz bottle at $25 ($12.50 per fluid/oz)( FYI - Art of Shaving now has large 8 oz Pump PSO for $80 or $10 per fluid/oz which is still not a bargain vs BB PSO)The BB PSO and Art of Shaving PSO feels and performs the same to me, but the packaging is where the Bohemian Brothers Pre Shave Oil really ShinesBB has intelligently bottled the oil into a glass bottle, with an easy to use pump which is then covered by. plastic safety cover. I usually shave in the shower, so I really appreciate being able to take the cover off quite easily and pumping the oil out with spilling it unlike the brands which need to be unscrewed (or worse non working pumps)The screw caps on other brands end up either spilling or pouring out too much oil which is a waste

Works pretty well, but no doubt works differently based on your beard and shaving technique.

This is my 3rd re order and this one I'm disappointed in they d the scent from Bay rum to more a sandalwood doesn't say either on the bottle anymore Bay rum reserve very disappointed

Bohemian Brothers Grooming Reserve Pre-Shave Oil is fine except for it's overly long name. I've been using another brand of shave oil for years and wanted to try something more economical. The Bohemian Brothers Oil was a bit less costly than the previously used oil but comes with a convenient spray dispenser. One plunge on the dispenser and the correct amount oil is in your palm. Sure beats counting drops with the other brand. The Bohemian Brothers Oil also has a subtle, pleasant scent whereas my old oil was scentless. Both oils do their job well but as you can see, the Bohemian Oil has it's advantages.
