The idea seemed good, but this collar takes a lot of build ...
This collar did not work for us.Our dog (aussie) barks to the sound of knocking or someone coming in. She will drop whatever she is doing and bolt, full-speed, across the office or house towards the door, barking and growling the entire way over. The moment she gets to the door or person - she stops barking and becomes the sweetest little thing. It doesn't matter if it is someone she recognizes or not, the moment she makes contact she stops. Our concern though is her charging up to people barking and growling - it has intimated more than a few guests and mailmen. Our issue is the moment happens so quickly, we often are unable to grab her, distract her, command her, or even use a remote collar. Thus, we started exploring automatic anti bark collars. The idea seemed good, but this collar takes a lot of build up before the dog receives a vibration. The first bark to trigger the collar will set off a brief beep. After a delay, another bark will set off another beep. After another delay, another bark can finally trigger a long beep and vibration. Our dog always reached the door or person, barking and growling the entire way, before the third stage would have the chance to activate. She could get across the entire house before the third stage triggered. The sound alone was not enough to stop her. After a good week of constant day wear, we now have a dog barking and growling up to a door that beeps. All in all, I feel the collar would probably work for a dog who is continuously barking. However, if your dog is just a rude greeter - I would recommend a collar with more customization so that the vibration may be used more immediately. As a minor note: the adjustable colors were really a nice touch. It would also be nice if the collar came with a ring to make attaching something such as a dog license easier.

this collar should work fine, Adjustment of the strap and of the unit ...
Works well, mostly. I have a Maltese and a Scojack (Scottish and Jack Russell Terrier mix), and it mostly did help to reduce their barking quite a bit. Until our 4 year old niece came over and started knocking on the doors teasing them to make them bark and make the collars beep. So they eventually learned to bark as much as they could between vibrations. That's not the collar's fault. So long as you don't have young kids in your household that tease your dogs, this collar should work fine,Adjustment of the strap and of the unit is critical. If the strap is too loose, not only will it miss the barking that dog does, but more importantly, if you have several dogs, it may pick up their barks if they are next to each other. So one finger under the strap. Is should be loose enough that it's not constricting, but tight enough that it can't spin on the neck. The default setting of '4' on the control unit is good enough in most cases. But if your dog has a higher pitch bark, you may need to bump it up to 5.At the end of the day, yes, these are good and work well.

This is a very effective collar. It does just as the description says. So far, we have only gotten to the first beep and my dog stops barking. We have to get to the point of him stopping when the collar is off but at least it stops it when it's on.I also want to point out the exceptional customer service from the seller. I received a collar that after the initial testing didn't work. I wrote a question on Amazon and the seller immediately responded and sent me a new collar within 2 days. I really appreciated that there wasn't an issue dealing with an ineffective product and trying to either get my money back or a new one. So 5 starts for the seller as well.

Beep almost as annoying and loud as dog bark
Beep almost as loud as dog bark.Barking dog at night was annoying neighbors. Thought I would give this a try.Frankly, the bark deterrent beep is very loud. Almost as annoying as the dog barking itself.Sounds like a fire alarm going off. Too disturbing for outdoor night use.If the neighbors don't complain about the barking, they will complain about the beeping.Long, loud beep(s).I now realized I need a dog barking deterrent with a hand held remote, where I can use only the feature I need.Example, use only the vibration if using outdoor at night.Live and learn.

Wouldn’t recommend
I bought two collars. One for my smaller dog and one for my big dog. It works ok for the bigger dog with a deeper bark, though she still barks. My small dog who has an annoying high pitched bark, this collar does not work on her AT ALL. She can bark about 6 times and the beep doesn’t even go off. It will eventually go off maybe once and she just continues to bark through the sound, it won’t usually trigger the vibration.

We have an 8 year old Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix that likes to bark at every dog that walks by the house. Half of the year we live in a condo in Florida and barking is not permitted. I was getting paranoid about leaving the house because I didn't want the dog to get me into trouble. I bought this collar and it fixed the problem in the first few hours! There is no shock which makes it a human option. When the dog begins to bark it just starts to vibrate to get the dogs attention.

I’ve tried so many different kinds of bark collars but this is definitely the most effective, humane and easiest to use of all the ones I’ve tried. I am surprised how well it works with my fierce little Maltese. It was tricky to get it to fit him as he is pretty small at 10 lbs and it doesn’t stay centered over his throat well but it still keeps him quiet and less jumpy around people who come to my door. Very happy with it.

High quality and very effective for my 72lb dog
This Collar is perfect for my dog! She is 72lbs of love and bark! It was absolutely driving me and my neighbors mad until I started using this collar. Worked immediately. Purchase includes simple instructions and a very good quality collar that has a few different levels of adjustment. Came with a battery too so it was ready to use as soon as I opened the package.Definitely worth every penny and surprised at how quickly it really worked!
