Spookily good
I finished this story with mixed feelings. I thoroughly enjoy the Ellie Jordan series but I think this was my least favourite. Saying that it is another well written tale from JL Bryan. When we left Ellie in the last book, she had made a life changing choice that nearly cost her boyfriend , Michael, his life but had saved the lives of others. We begin this story straight after those events and it's not a happy time for Ellie. She feels as though all choices are being taken out of her hands. She's also pretty obsessed about catching the ghost of Anton Clay. The evil, murderous fire spirit who caused the deaths of her parents, as well as others. Although I felt Ellie had just cause to want revenge I did feel as though it was taking it's toll on her and those around her. It's lucky Ellie had her trusty side-kick Stacy to keep her grounded with her ever cheerful personality and southern charm. There is the main story of a spoilt and somewhat vengeful movie star who wants ghost gone from her impressive, newly renovated home, her dysfunctional family and multiple spooky spirits that are causing havoc. On top of that, Ellie and co tried to deal with the dangerous theatre ghost we met in the previous book. So there is a lot going on for Ellie, work wise and on a personal level, though she kept her feeling on THAT issue close to her chest!Hopefully, with the ending of this book, the next will be more like previous books...lots of humour along with the chills.

What an exceptional series of books! Very original and unique
What a shame the first 3 books aren’t on prime! Still, with so many brilliant storylines I am captivated by the characters and love how the plot is developing. Each book is a very different story and there’s no guessing where the author is going with it.. Wonderful reading!

Book 8
Oh, sooooo good!Ellie is still determined to search for Anton, so setting up equipment in an old closed up garage that was built over his original home is on the agenda. At one of the cafes downtown, she and Stacey hear from a waitress that a glow and shadow was seen in a boarded up theatre. That must be investigated too. Kara takes them to a new client, a film star/celebrity, who's refurbished lighthouse cottage (and luxurious addition) is being haunted. There is a disused lighthouse on the property, but owned by the government and boarded up. With so much to do and handle together Ellie and Stacey are able to sneak out more equipment to use for their stake outs...

Keeps getting better and better
Ellie and Stacey are back, after the horrors in the last book it's straight back to work with no break. The agency has a new client , a famous actress has bought and renovated an old lightkeepers cottage. Turns out the cottage had more than a few ghosts lingering around, then there's the old lighthouse, cordoned off and declared a dangerous building Ellie is sure it's hiding something inside, and that's before we get to the shipwreck victims caught in the sea that come in with the tide every night. So Ellie and Stacey really have their hands full might not be so bad if they could just get their client to cooperate with them.

Still enjoying Ellie's Company!
These books never fail to excite me, though Ellie does tend to go off on tangent now and again!I wish she could sort her nemesis, Clay, out especially now she has her full team back .... We shall see what Book 9 offers!

Jl Bryans books are getting addictive .
I stumbled across this series of books about 6 months ago and ive enjoyed every one of them. The characters are very likeable and the stories are always good page turners. This one took a little time to get going but its worth it in the end. The main character whose house and land is being haunted is a petty, narcissistic A list actor who reluctantly hires Ellie and Stacy . The house, land and an old Lighthouse hold secrets that have lain waiting for well over 100 years and the owner has woken them up. Ellie and Stacy are also still searching for Ellies ghost nemesis and in their search they find an evil magicians spirit hidden in a disused theatre and they also find out that some of the people they are working with arnt quite what they seem. This book does move a little slower than the previous ones and I do prefer the previous book, but once again an enjoyable read. Now onto the next one....

Great addition to the series
Loving the Ellis Jordan books. Great character, suitably monstrous ghosts all done with a light hearted story telling style. Really hoping the Ghost Trapped series continues as the books are going from strength to strength.
