Make Good Connections
These USB C double female connectors are useful for when you need to connecting, or extending, two devices with male connectors. The connectors don’t fit flush all the way, but are tight enough. No data / charge / connectivity issues.Good to know there’s three of them in case one comes loose.

Excellent for extending USB-C cables
Nifty little adapters, whilst using them, I didn’t notice any drop in charging or problems when transferring data. Because of their size, my only concern is how long before I mislay them. They are useful, though, at £3.33 each at the time of this review. They are a tad expensive.

Good perfunctory USB-C female port chassises for extending cables, perform as expected
With everything being USB-C these days with modern equipment these three female USB-C chassises will be a great boon. OK so they might not look much but for the money they aren’t bad at all. You might think they are a bit on the dear side at about £4.33 for one of these but if you are suddenly stuck for one then they prove to be worth their weight in gold. They don’t look much but they can be used for extending my USB-C cables or any type of cable with a male USB-C port at one end. What do you get? Well you get three three slim short and flat sturdy black chassis which have a female USB-C port at each end. Be careful as they are easy to lose. Once I place one of these between two cables I will keep them attached so I don’t lose any. There is no discernible notice of drop in speed so I’m happy with the performance. They are not essential bit make life so much easier when you have a short cable. Five stars.

Do NOT use with external drives - corrupted mine (all THREE adapters!)
Sometimes you can be so cross at a product, you examine it in great detail. This has used a good portion of my time. Because I got *very* cross. So, my fast external Sandisk M2 SSD runs at max speed on a cable directly attached to my PC (that reduces by 90% via an - expensive - hub USB C port, so that was educational). So I connected the drive to each of these USB connectors in turn, using a cable directly plugged into the PC and the short cable that came with the Sandisk. If the first thing I told you was the drive needed to be repaired by Windows every time, that gives you a clue what's coming and how useful (not) these adapters are. In any event, besides corrupting the drive each time, the drive showed up in Explorer only on 2 out of 3 of these adapters, and not at all on the third (either way up). On no occasion could I run the disk speed test AT ALL. On one adapter that did work, Windows kept losing the drive. On the other, I'd probably be here in a year's time waiting for the file I tried to copy to finish. In short, these are RUBBISH. They might, I suppose, work in terms of passing power through, and therefore suit as a way to lengthen a charging cable. What none of them do is allow data connection to continue working. I tried all 3 adapters, as I say, and both ways up on 2 of them (I've heard that swapping orientation can make a difference and sometimes it allowed the drive to show up in Explorer) (but not much else). On the third, getting the same result, I realised I was fed up of having to fix the drive and started to worry I might do permanent damage so I gave up (it's quite an expensive external drive).Really, just don't buy these. I'm not sure you should buy any USB female-female adapter. I've tried them before with little success (other than the early ones didn't corrupt the external drives I used, so there's that.)The Sandisk seems to be ok still. Fortunately.
