Broke after 9 uses
I bought this to use on soft pastels to grind them up, which should be easier to do than some spices. After about 6 uses it started spewing dust everywhere when I used it.

Overpriced trash
Purchased in February, already busted. Despite being delicate wit the grinder, the quality is so poor (very bad plastic) that it literally came apart. The safety mechanism is activated by twisting the top barrel unfortunately the bottom barrel is only attached by plastic pegs so a few twists and it breaks. Made it last as long as I could, terribly disappointed. I got something that works TEN TIMES BETTER for 2/3rds what I paid for this trash. Move on, don’t make same mistake I made. There are other nice big grinders for less than 25 on here, get one of those instead.

GREAT TO USE ON MY HERBS!
I GROW AND USE MY OWN SPICES AND HERBS AND LIKE MANY PEOPLE WHO DO SO YOU NEED TO GRIND SOME OF THEM INTO POWDER OR SMALLER PIECES DEPENDING ON WHAT YOUR USING THEM FOR. LIKECAJUN FOR INSTANCE, AFTER I DRY IT OUT IT MAKES A GREAT POWDER FOR MY CAJUN CHICKEN. THIS GRINDER WORKS WELL FOR THINGS OF THAT NATURE OR ANYTHING ALSE YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO.

Pass.
Thought this was the ideal product at a reasonable price—but it did not work for grinding. Spun a few times and the stopped working. Returning.

Oh yeah
Super easy to install and use. Does get jammed up every once in a while but definitely worth it

Decent grinder
This arrived in the red & black box as shown in the advertisement. Mine wasn't gold, but the black one with gold edges, which is shown in their last picture. Not a concern for me because I'm not a fan of an all gold one.The semi hard carrying case is fairly nice. The grinder and parts barely fit into it, but it works. It includes a nice little brush for cleaning and a sort of funnel for filling blunts / rolls. The tip of the grinder unscrews for easier pouring out with a smaller opening. In use, it works ok. The chamber is fairly small and the blades don't cover the whole area, so the pieces bound around avoiding the blades a lot. If you rock it back and forth it helps the blades hit the pieces. Even so, I found the best it would do is a mild grind, not a fine grind.I know this is designed toward a specific herb, but I decided to use it like Grandma would at first. I had some hot pepper spice that were a little too thick in pieces and I wanted it a little finer. So I loaded it up a few times and ground it for various lengths of time (picture included of the results). It did an ok job by grinding it up a little more, but it couldn't get it to a fine grind. I cleaned it out REAL good and then used it on the proper herb. It did an ok job there and was able to give a mild grind. Pouring it out worked so so as the light stickyness tended to mean it didn't all come out and I had to scrape some out. The little blunt filler is pretty handy. The plastic of the unit is a little weak, especially around the tip that unscrews. I don't get the feel it'll last very long, but it's a decent little grinder.

Not really made for use in the kitchen.
I have another one of these, but it's a different style that takes batteries. I thought I'd try this one since it is rechargeable and there are no batteries to replace, plus I was hoping that this would do a better job of grinding. Anyway, there are two ways that you can pour whatever it is that you want to grind into it, and both ways are terrible, as the holes are too small to get anything into them easily, and the second way just messes with the thread grooves and makes it hard to screw back on unless you clean the threads first. This is just a bad design, as my other one has a large clear plastic lid that you scoop your herbs or spices into, even though it's a handheld one just like this one. As for grinding power, they both seem to work about the same, and the easy way to tell how well they do is to try grinding rosemary. Anyway, I don't recommend purchasing this particular grinder. I'd give you a link to my other one, but I must not have purchased it on Amazon, because I can't seem to find it in my orders.

So far so good
The media could not be loaded. It's good so far but a little messy. It's a pretty powerful little grinder. You can take the gold cap off and just have the small hole or remove the upper part which is a little easier that way and a little less messy than trying to go through the gold opening. It grinds a little more than my normal grinder but I'm not sure which I like best. The case is nice but you need to put the funnel on its side otherwise it won't close all the way. I'm hoping it lasts even though I've read that others have broken.
