Hubner Silicea Cold Sore Gel 2 g

Amazing product. I don't really write reviews but as someone who is really run down and just been hit with my second cold sore, this has helped the healing journey faster than anything else has. I'm glad in my exasperated state i gave it a go. You need to keep your lips hydrated, it is very drying.

This stuff has been an absolute god send. So much so that I have and leave a review from when I last bought it in October 2023. I have recently had to buy it again and will continue to buy this when needed. I actually purchased this after getting a coldsore whilst in Spain and being given something very similar that worked effectively. So when I got home I searched online for something similar and bought this so I had something on hand immediately if needed. It just dries up the coldsore pretty much straight away. I am on day 3 of a coldsore and it has already scabbed over and is flat and not itchy or annoying me. Usually they last up to 10 days. I highly recommend this product. I did use Zovirax alongside it but again Zovirax alone doesn’t usually clear it up so quickly. You put it on and it creates a drying sensation. Be aware, it does turn white once dried so only use it when at home really. I wouldn’t use anything else now. If you’re thinking about it, get it! You won’t be disappointed. I’m not the greatest at leaving reviews but had to for this one.

i have suffered with cold sores since i was a child, and i have tried numerous name branded products with no luck. i then tried 'colsor lotion' which worked brilliantly, but lately i'm finding it very hard to get hold of, so i tried this product instead, and just like the 'colsor lotion' it works wonders. i have found though that using it at night, time just before i settle down, is the best time to use it, as using it during the day leads to cracked and bleeding lips. from now on if i can't get 1 i will get the other.

Good quick delivery does what it says

It does dry up the sores but after much pain and itching to begin. Unfortunately left me with dry, cracked and painful lips I'm now trying to heal. I used to use Herpatch which unfortunately is not available. It was effective and left no damage

Didn't start using till day 2 of cold sore but it definitely helped. It stopped any blistering and scabbing over.. and cleared up in 7 days usually they linger for over 10 days.. downside is it leaves a white coating on your lip but to me it was well worth it.. ive ordered another tube to keep in ready to use for the next time

Can’t believe this isn’t the first line of treatment prescribed by doctors for cold sores. I have tried every single treatment on the market and this is the most effective by a long shot. It does burn when you first apply it but it’s so worth it, it gets rid of cold sores gone in 1-3 days. Staple in my household and recommend it to everyone I know who gets cold sores and they all say it’s incredibly effective.

Cold sores, bane of my existence. I've tried so so many treatments. The traditional and utterly useless creams, the exorbitant little devices that claim to zap the sore into oblivion but stop working after one use, and more recently I've tried witch hazel, tea tree oil and cold tea bags, none of which work and into the bargain I half poisoned myself with the tea tree oil. Despair isn't a strong enough word, as you'll know if you're prone to these dreadful outbreaks. Of course I was up for trying yet another new idea. I never give up hope, and the thought of finding something that really does help with cold sores has become a sort of holy grail-like obsession. This works by drying out the sore, you can actually see the process in action as the gel turns white while it draws out the moisture from the sore. The important, and wonderful, thing about it is that it actually works. I've used it at the tingle stage and it's consistently prevented the sore actually forming, with the tingle and all threat of a sore gone within hours. I've also used it on a sore that sprang up overnight without warning, and it stopped it getting any bigger and the very tiny sore, stopped in its tracks, was gone altogether next morning. It really is incredibly effective, so much so that I always keep a tube ready just in case. The only downside is that it does form an obvious white patch on the skin, so I've learned the art of careful, minimalist application, but a day with a little white blob on my upper lip is always preferable to a week with a huge festering monster taking over my face. I do recommend trying this if you're a cold sore sufferer, it's the best and most effective thing I've ever used.

I bought this product for a lip lesion my late father had. It was not a cold sore, but rather a reaction his body had to severe intoxication. I was hesitant to buy it because nothing else had worked, but this gel helped the lesion heal. In my experience, it was worth the price and did not disappoint.

This stuff is the absolute best miracle gel.. works for scar reduction; eye stye.. all sorts of uses where other products just don’t work. Often hard to find; always happy when I can find at a reasonable price; I first bought in Europe; availability varies.

Excellent results! My spouse said he could see massive improvement after one application, compared to what's available in the drug store. It's nice to have found something that works so quickly!
