A little bit fiddly to assemble but with patience it went together easily enough. In fairness the instructions do recommend 2 people to assemble, so no doubt it would've been easier had I not done it alone.The strips that wrap around are perhaps a bit thin, but they do need to be flexible enough otherwise assembly would be made much more difficult.It looks nice enough once in the garden, seems pretty stable when sunk in to the soil at least 6 inches (again, as recommended in the instructions). Been battered by the high winds the last couple of days and hasn't budged. And once it's covered in sweet peas, well, who's going to pay that much attention to it anyway, as long as it's upright? It'll certainly do the job I want of it, and for the money paid I'm very happy with it.

Says on the instructions that it is a 2 person job to assemble and it probably is but I managed on my own. It fitted together with very little problem. Does need to be well into the ground for stability - very light weight - mine wasn't to start with and fell over in the wind taking the roses with it. My fault for not making sure it was secure. Not especially sturdy and stability when not fixed down isn't great BUT it does the job once you get it together and was relatively inexpensive. I would buy again. Looks neat enough to secure my rose bushes

I found it difficult to assemble on my own as the tall upright sections needed the bolts to be in place to keep the structure together. I did build it on my own though and it is now in place but is a bit flimsy. However quite good value for the price

I ordered two obelisks from E4 Emporium, one for growing peas in the vegetable garden, the other for sweet peas. The order arrived quickly and was securely packed. Unfortunately although one was complete, the other was missing a small part. E4 Emporium esponded quickly to my email and despatched the missimg part immediately, along with a few spares. I don't know whether they or Kingfisher Gardening sent the parts, but they were very friendly and efficient.The instructions recommending using two people for assembling the obelisk and it did take two when trying to bolt three pieces together, but we managed it easily. As I live in a windy coastal area I was concerned whether it would withstand the gales that sometimes hit my garden. I followed the advice given my another reviewer and extending the legs by burying thin bamboo canes deep into my heavy clay soil and inserting the obelisk legs over the bamboo. This way I have gained extra depth for strength but still only reducing the height by about 8 ins.I am very happy with the result and am considering purchasing several more. Most of my vegetable growing is done in raised beds following the square foot gardening method. The base of the obelisk will roughly fit one square and be ideal for supporting a variety of vegetables or even raspberry canes.

I know that some people have had difficulty assembling this item, it is awkward to build but not impossible. I bough 2 and it took me on my own about 20 to build each one. What I did was to put the 4 curved parts on the grass to form the required circle and then pushed the uprights into the grass to give them stability. If you don’t do that you will struggle to put it up on your own. Once the uprights are in place the assembly is fairly simple but awkward and unless you have the correct tools (which are not included in the box). It just a matter of patience. The instructions are fairly redundant as they are only visual and no written information, when you see the working drawing and the materials in-front of you the assembly becomes very clear.When the product is fully assembled and in the ground it’s fairly sturdy, it is made of a light gauge material.

It arrives with four curved pieces for the top, two sets of four for the next bit down and then four poles to go in the ground. I assembled one but had nothing in my little tool kit to tighten the nuts with. I ordered two of them and one of the poles was crushed at its' end. There followed a Monty Pythonesque correspondence where I began to feel the correspondent and I were from different planets, however I got there in the end and they dispatched a replacement part. The assembly is one of those jobs which would be so much easier with three hands (but not another person or they might never speak to you again as you vent your frustration). My husband assembled the second one whilst I was out for the day. He had something to tighten the nuts in his tool kit. He was not a happy bunny on my return....Tip, start at the top with the curved poles, work your way down and add the horizontal bits in twos on opposite sides.On the up side, they are cheap, and they arrived speedily. Less speedily with the replacement part but not outrageously so. They still look a little wonky in amongst the bushes but once the clematis takes over, I hope not to see them.

My order arrived quickly and very well packed I had purchased 5 of them and put them all together on my own even though it recommends two people to assemble, so they are easy to put up and look good , not as grand as some you can buy but great for the price paid if you want grand you have to pay 10 times as much . As I wasn't sure I would like what I was planning to do in my garden I thought I would get these as a temporary fix, but they look finew so I will leave them in place until they need to be replaced due to wear and tare. I am about to order a few more
