Accurate, Heavy, and Reliable — Great Chuck for the Price
I bought the SANOU Manual Metal Lathe Chuck to upgrade my small shop setup, and it has exceeded expectations. Right out of the box, the chuck felt solid, well-machined, and heavier than I expected—in a good way. The jaws move smoothly with no binding, and the overall finish is clean and precise. Once mounted, the runout was impressively low for a chuck in this price range. I tested it with several sizes of round stock and even some irregular pieces, and it held everything tight and true. The grip strength is excellent, and I haven’t had a single slip during turning. Jaw changes are quick, the key engages cleanly, and the chuck just feels dependable. For anyone doing hobby metalwork, pen turning, or light machining, this is a fantastic upgrade without the premium price tag. Definitely worth it if you want solid performance without overspending.

This chuck has accuracy down to the .0005
I used this chuck on an 8x16 mini lathe for making pool cues. I knew that the through hole was 30mm but I would have preferred a 38mm through hole to match the lathe. This is my second one and I am happy with both.

Well package, solid design, and an extra set of jaws without serrated gripper, I purchased this to build my own rotary table and I can see this is going to be around for a long time, great product!
