Q: Has anyone compared these to sony z1r? i know sony's are much more expensive but i was wondering if focal offers better value with similar performance

I bought the Celestees and I own the Sony Z1Rs and there is absolutely no comparison. The Sonys are 10 times better. I am a huge fan of Focal however and own both the Stellias and the Utopias both spectacular. The Clear Mgs and the Radiance all better than the Celestees the worst headphones in the Focal roster. I returned them after 1 week.

Q: Why did you return them, was it the sound profile, lack of bass, build? focal usually makes great headphones & the radiance are terrific. what"s ng?

They had very little soundstage. It felt like it was just inside your head and not beyond. Also, I am used to very warm sounding headphones and these were not warm enough. I like deep bass and these were more mid bass oriented.

Q: How do you use this with iPhone 12 Pro Max?
