+I got the model which writes a pdf file, which I read on my PC like it’s a usb stick. This is so convenient compared to having to use a special software. Default settings are OK, so I haven’t even loaded their software. +Has start and stop buttons and a display. Be aware, that it only seems to keep the last file, so if you need to keep it, copy it to your PC. +Compared very well for accuracy at fridge temperature against a professional calibrated thermometer, and has a calibration offset in software if necessary. +Easy cheap battery replacement, good battery life. -Protective cap keeps coming off unintentionally. Overall, love it!

It's very simple to use. I checked it with its factory pre-set (a data point every 2 minutes) by setting it to record for several hours outside and inside the fridge. Once stopped, I plugged it in to the USB port and opened the auto-created PDF; all the data points were listed and the plotted graph was clear: my fridge isn't working properly. All fine so far. I had to download the software from the Website (the navigation could be clearer) to change the recording interval from 2 minutes. I checked the installed software on two Windows 10 computers; it didn't with one, but I found that was because of a software fault with that computer, not with the device, so I'd advise that others do the same. The software worked fine. It would be nice if you could set the interval using the two buttons on the device (the instructions weren't that good, frankly), but It's a neat little thing and well worth having.

This appears an accurate and simple logging thermometer. The resulting graph is simple to interpret.. what more could you ask for? The instruction manual is useless. To first time configure the time and date you need the software. This is not obvious nor in the manual. For Apple Macs you need to download from the AppStore: ElitechLog. ( Do not look for it on the Elitech website as that has loads of drivers you don't need.) Once you run the app the Logger will be recognised and you can change the time and sampling time. In use it is simple and the pdf log appears to view when plugged into a computer.

I bought this to monitor temperatures in a large walk-in freezer coldroom (roughly 100 cubic metres). The only issue I had was Coudflare flagging the Elitech download link as unsafe or something like that, but I managed to get round that switching to a different browser. Once the program was downloaded I was instantly able to access data from the device. It's very simple to operate, the data is displayed in a clear and easily understood format (graph or list view) and there is nothing overly complicated about changing settings such as parameters etc. This little gizmo gives me a detailed, ongoing picture of my system's performance and is well worth the £25 outlay. Glad I bought it, definitely recommend it.

After two weeks use in a fridge and freezer, my unit stopped recording. It shows a temperature but doesn't produce any log files, so it's useless - despite replacing batteries and re-configuring it with the Elitech app.

Third one bought to keep check on temperatures around the household

Works well. I used it to double check the temperature in a cold store for scientific purposes. No app needed to view the data: the logger is visible as a USB disc and a PDF report is waiting in the folder to be viewed once the logger is connected. You can also use a dedicated app to download/view data on your PC. You can start/stop the logging and adjust time interval from the app.

This does what it says on the tin and unlike many leading brands of data 'buttons' you can replace the battery on this one. The paper instructions were very terse. It was not obvious how or where to get the software onto your pc which you really want. Once I found the detailed YouTube video all became clear and the install and functionality were fine. It was also not clear from the sellers photo what cabling you need to connect to your computer. You don't need any it just plugs in like a regular data stick.

Ich hatte schon den RC-5 bei mir im Einsatz und war zufrieden. Der RC-5 + besitzt geringere Meßwerttoleranzen, daher fiel die Entscheidung auf ihn. Die Messwerte werden in Form einer Tabelle und als Grafik (Temperaturverlauf über der Zeit) zur Verfügung gestellt. Einsatzgebitet sind die Überwachung des Kühlschranks/ der mobilen Kühlbox über einen längeren Zeitpunkt.

2026-03-13 update dopo 6 anni di utilizzo saltuario: - pila cambiata 1 o 2 volte - funziona ancora perfettamente - prezzo invariato 28,99 - ne ho preso un altro oggi spettacolare: tutto funzionante come da manuale. mentre logga, si possono scaricare i dati senza interrompere il log. la memoria si resetta in automatico quando si inizia un nuovo ciclo di log. L'unico dubbio e' che per inserire la pila ho dovuto piegare, rompendole, le 2 alette che ho disegnato in giallo nella foto: e' capitato anche a voi ?

Bonjour Un logiciel doit être charge sur internet pour pouvoir utiliser l'appareil. Cela n'est pas renseigné dans les informations reçues avec l'appareil. Un foi cela fait et compris l'appareil fonctionne très bien
