The Unicorn Tarot Deck

This deck is made by US Games and their cardstock is always good so let's get that point cleared up straight away. While the artwork - someone I know labeled it '90's Fantasy' - may not be to everybody's taste, I'm gradually falling in love with it, the more I use the deck. This deck is very easy to read with and would suit any level reader. I wouldn't say it's an RWS clone but it's close enough to not confuse the beginner. While this Unicorn deck may not be as hip and happening (who says that?) as the recently released Crystal Unicorn Tarot which seems to be all the rage on Instagram, it has won my heart with how reliable and spot on it is every time I work with it. The Unicorn Tarot is a classic and the fact that it is still in print proves that. Also, anything with unicorns on it, lifts my spirit so if you're like in that respect, I highly recommend it.

I love mystical creatures and i am fascinated by anything to do with them. I was looking for my first set of tarot cards and these immediately caught my attention, as did the dragon tarot deck. However i felt these were more striking with the elegant designs and beautiful colouring. The small booklet that came with them was very useful, it told me everythng i needed to know for a first time user, but if you were an experienced tarot card user a more advanced book would be useful. All in all these card are beautiful and i feel for me they work very well. I would recommend these to everyone!!!

Before you get The Unicorn Tarot ask yourself if you like Unicorns; because I believe that Unicorns lovers, like myself, will get more from this deck than others.It is basically the Universal Waite Tarot reworked to include the presence of Unicorns. The unicorns have a varying role in the card interpretation; such as support, guidance, etc. The Unicorns are always inspirational in some way. The art is nice because of the balance of figures and the uses of color to distinguish the feel of each element.The book that comes with the deck, In Search of Unicorns, is a little too brief for my taste, but the interpretations are still good so I can't knock it at all. You can use the Universal Waite deck interpretations or join a group to further cover the meanings of these simple, yet eloquent cards.For those it concerns there is a little nudity in the deck, but nothing explicit.This particular set also includes a Celtic Cross reading mat for beginners that helps your create the spread and read from it; very nice touch.Over all this is great for Unicorn lovers, Tarot collectors, and Tarot beginners too.
