Delightful story for children with a great message and nice illustrations.

I bought this for my bossy granddaughter and can’t wait to read her! The book has a sweet story and colorful illustrations.

We love animal stories and this one does not disappoint. The pages are just beautiful and capture our attention with vivid colors. It’s easy to read and the moral is timeless for kids and adults alike. We love Roscoe and his friends and hope another book is coming soon!

I was having some issues with children being bossy in my classroom. I was looking for a good book that would help the children understand that it isn’t nice to be bossy and we should show kindness. This book was great! We read it often and I know hear the children say, Don’t be a Roscoe”. The children ask for this book quite often. I work with children ages 1-3.

Its emphasis on character

“Everything I needed to know I learned in kindergarten!”, or in this case, in the barnyard!Perhaps best of all, the only we can transform the narcissists in our communities is by firmly and lovingly setting limits and saying, “People like us do not behave this way” and “People (or Chickens!) like us do things like this…”To combat ego and pride and arrogance, we still have to love the Rooster and make space for them—when they are ready to play by Good —may I say, Golden — rules!!!
