Tom's of MaineDeodorant Stick Long Lasting Lavender - 2.25 oz

I bought this because I've used Tom's for years, and it is a good deodorant and all natural. I wouldn't use anything else but Tom's. My husband also uses Tom's and has for years.

Ever since not being able to buy this at the co-op, I have bought Tom’s here. I am a repeat customer. And the scent lends itself to helping me relax. I also wear lavender essential oil.

I really wish I had realized that they changed the scent before I purchased a six-pack. I have been using this for several years. Apart from an embarrassing graduation day, when it really did not hold up to the heat, I loved the non-irritating formula and the subtle lavender scent - which really smelled like lavender, but did not compete with your perfume.Now the manufacturer (Colgate-Palmolive, I think) have changed the scent -- and from the reactions that others are having, the formula -- although I have not suffered any irritation. But the scent is now what my Mom used to describe as "smelling like a tart's boudoir." It's horrid - one of those strong, imitation lavender scents that the *really* cheap soap and body mists use. This is heartbreaking, as the old scent was so natural - it ruins what was a really good product. The new scent is so strong, that it wars with any other scent you are wearing - and wins. The unused five (of my six-pack) are going straight to a charity store for whoever wants them and I'm off to find a new brand.

Tom's lavender stick has always been my go to for deodorant. I find that the unscented one barely works at all, but the extra lavender makes it a nice, clean smelling product. I read through other reviews and noted that a good deal of individuals has issues with allergic reactions or ineffectiveness. While I have sensitive skin and this product has been effective for me, the type of deodorant one buys should be measured by the product label (read and check for specific things that might irritate your skin), if you do have high epidermal sensitivity. That being said, from personal experience, if I found this product ineffective at any time, it's because I only did a quickie application, which can blatantly be resolved by applying a little more. As for sellers, Pharmapacks is a very polite, easy Amazon seller and it was a pleasure doing business with them, in spite of it being such a simple transaction.

I don't love the smell of this product but it does cover up stench.

I love this lavender scent--girly but not flowery. Nothing here reacts with my skin so I smell like I am wearing a cotton candy machine, which is the case with many commercial deodorants I have tried in various scents. Calming, but not too scented, either. My partners like it, which is always a plus!The stick lasts forever--I'm only on my second one in two years. Just a little swipe and away! Also nice that the tube is recyclable when it is done.The only time I have had this product burn is when I have accidentally given myself razor burn with a bad razor blade, or when I had a mosquito bite in my armpit (thanks, mountain camping trip!). I just use a fresh razor, shave slowly, dry off, and have never had a problem where the skin was not broken--and you really shouldn't put much on broken skin except a bandaid anyway.

I purchased this after reading about aluminum in normal deodorants. I did not realize that typical modern deodorants (controlling smell) are also antiperspirants (controlling sweat). This product is a deodorant ONLY. The smell is nice but I felt sweaty and gross. It also left a sort of film on my underarms. If you know what you're buying its pretty good but don't make my mistake.

Partner had problems with glands under the arm due to an allergic reaction/sensitivity to the Aluminum found in most brands...Tom's is natural and doesn't contain the harmful ingredients that are present with those other brands. It smells good and keeps my him sweat free...It is worth nothing that naturally he isn't smelly in that region so if you need odor control you may want to look elsewhere. Give this a shot though, it's worth it to feel and see the difference. Within around 2-3 days the swelling from the allergic reaction went away after switching to Tom's of Maine and so now we only buy this brand for him.

This product was sent but there was only 1 of the 6 avertised bars in the package. I recommend not buying from this seller.

Brilliant, worth every penny. I do not buy any other deodorant now. Lovely scent and completely eliminates odors.It works, it's natural and it lasts for ages!
