Really good.
I used this on a copper beech tree stump to make sure the stump wouldnt catch fire after the tree was felled. I drilled some holes in the top cut surface where the risk of combustion was probably greatest and filled the holes with the material and added some water to be really sure. I then covered the stump with earth. A few years later the fire risk seems to have passed as the stump is niw completely rotten to mush so it probably cant catch fire which is a relief and the fire retardent has worked a treat.

Return of the Horsetail. Revenge of the Weedkiller
I mix 140g of granules and a squirt of washing up liquid into a 750ml (re-labelled) spray bottle. This kills off the horsetail growing in my compost heap within four days. As soon as it sticks it's ugly little head into the daylight it gets a quick shower of the mix.I have no idea how deep this liquid death reaches into the horsetail's system but after digging down a bit one root looked to be dead to about two inches down. Not bad for only being sprayed a week earlier. I was hand digging every shoot out but this has the same effect whilst giving the plant a chemical kicking.I've used Gallup 360 (glyphosate) in the past and it does work and it has come back much weaker than last year. However it takes weeks to work and takes a season to show you how effective it has been. This stuff shows its working within days.Keep in mind that you cannot replant after using this chemical for one - three months dependant on your soil type. I have a heavy clay soil so as it's June now I wont be digging over or replanting until mid Autumn.Update- 3 months later and I think I've won the battle. Spraying as soon as the plant showed itself and adding lime and feed to my soil has seen me horsetail free for the last 2 weeks. We usually have a warmish September so we'll see if I have spoken to soon. However I forked through the soil patch that was badly infested with it and there was little to any root system left.

It does work!
I was worried by the lack of instructiions and lack of contents information on the product, but it certainly got rid of the mare's tail which had plagued my flower beds for a couple of years. It took a good ten days to die off completely but its still gone some 5 months later. It also made impressive work of bindweed.

Worked perfectly for killing weeds in my gar— compost heap.
My compost heap was overrun with weeds and I used this ammonium sulphamate to eradicate them. I noticed visible results after 3 or 4 sunny days.

Houttinya and Japanese Anemone going going gone. Keep at it though
Wanted to accelerate my compost heap cough cough. So i bought it and lo and behold does it get rid of the unwanted things around the accelerated compost heap. You bet it does. They fry up in a day and dont return. The salt arrived in a tub. I put 3 tablespoon worth scoops in a litre of water and added a squirt of fairy liguid. Sprayed on to the cough cough compost heap and it sprayed onto the blighters around it. Boy did it clear the stuff i wanted rid off like Houttinya, yes the dastard houttinya chordata and the devil plant called japanese anemone. Keep at it and do it when the sun is out for a few days. Boy do they fry. Wear gloves folks and watch the accelerated death of things.

A real boon for us gardeners.
Got it, used it, rated it, ordered more.Update: Due to glyphosate not being effective, decided to try this. Used it on a small patch of waste ground I have, invaded by brambles, sticky willie, dandelions and other assorted unwanted weeds. The effect was devastating. For the flora, anyway. They started turning an anaemic green within two days, browning within four days and are now ex weeds. So decided to try it out on a larger patch I need cleared, at the top of the garden, though this contains tougher and more abundant plant life, including bind weed, mare's tails, willow herb, stinging nettles etc. Pleased to relate that the aforementioned process is now underway here, too. This is the mutt's nuts. A must have.

Oh my, this stuff works
I've been trying to kill off some highly invasive 'mind your own business', or baby's tears that's taking over my lawn. Errr, I mean I used it in my compost heap. I've tried repeated applications of Round-up at increasing doses. Nothing. I've tried digging it out to no avail. Made this product up and bingo, brown and dead within 2 weeks. Perfect. It also worked on a sycamore tree that we'd had cut down and treated, but was re-sprouting. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to use it in their compost heap, (or has something growing they want to get rid of!).
