The pens have a nice finish. Both were a little dirty on the writing tip when they arrived. But after a couple hours of meeting notes they are writing smoothly.

I was looking for a going away present for my troop as he transitioned from the military to civilian life. I thought this would be perfect. I have say that I was really worry about the quality however,it exceeded my expectations. It was a really nice wood with a little weight to it. I received it within 2 days of ordering. I was able to get it engraved. My troop loved it!! This will be something I can get in the future for my troops. Thanks!!

Beautiful set! Bought it as a gift for a girlfriend who got a new job. She loves it. Would buy again and definitely recommend.

EDIT: Changed my 2 star to a 4 Star review after dealing with their helpful customer service.The pens look nice, and the box they come in is handsome as well. There are two different types of pen in the box, as you can see in the picture. The one where you take off the cap and write is fine. The one you twist is unusable. The part you twist always rubbed against my hand while writing, forcing it to close. If there was a way to lock it open, I would be more than happy with these pens, but I am stuck with one useable pen and one that is so frustrating to use I quit touching.

I ordered several different wooden style pen sets from Amazon and returned them all...absolute crap. This one was slower coming so when I got it I expected another piece of junk to return. These actually write easily and the ink looks like it wants to be on the page. If you are looking for a pen and pencil set this one is not for you. It's a steal.. but it's two pens. Identical pens I think? That's weird right! I gotta go back and check. But hey for the price who can complain. I'll let you know if they fall apart any time soon.

Rosewood?Not quite sure if these are REAL rosewood pens or "pressed rosewood" pens? The feel is kind of plastic-ish.Writing quality is not the best, but this was improved by replacing filler with a "cross" one.It's a so-so quality pen set, but ok for the low price....just don't think it is "gift worthy".

The pens are lovely, but need better refills. Even have one away to my nurse when she admired it.

This is a nice gift for anyone. It came on time and I believe the pens work very well. I just bought it so we will see how long it lasts.
