Not a good value IMO
I can buy the rectangular model for 30 percent of what this one costs all day everyday. The rod is about 1/4 inch and the rectangular one is 1/8 inch, but this one costs more than 3 times as much. Not a good value IMO.

I ordered this for my husband when searching for a survival tool that he did not already own. Scraping mag from this bar is easier and produces more shavings than the doan bar. The spark bar is ok would be ideal to have a bayite bar attached instead.

Good all around fire started
Good all around for kit or carry. I purchased several and had two ferro rods come unglued. I reattached them no problem but I now make sure they are in a pocket/pouch and not hanging from a belt or key chain.
