Schumacher DY-1420 2/20/55/140 Amp Manual Wheel Battery Charger with Engine Start

Awesome charger, I have 2 trailers and their batteries can need charging after only a short while. This charger does the trick and they are charged within a couple of hours.

seems to charge well, one thing I didn't see in the advertisement was the fact that you can only run it on 2 amp or 20 amp continuously, the 55-140 (not separate settings btw) amp setting will run 30 seconds @ 55 and 3 seconds @ 140, after which both require a 600 second (10 min) off time.140 amps @ 3 seconds to me is pretty much useless, as is 55 @ 30 seconds, no battery is gonna charge up enough to start a car in 29 seconds lol. oh well, ive paid 40 - 60 for the small chargers rated at 15 amps that don't seem to get anywhere near that rating on output. This charger does for sure, @ 20 amps charge voltage reads 14.8, @ 55 amps reads 15.7, definitely working, and that's on an oversized tractor battery.UPDATE: the clamps you connect to the battery leave a little to be desired, for the money though wouldn't take much to upgrade them.

Received a product that was previously been returned to them by another customer. The product was dented and there’s a wire hanging inside that can be seen from the little holes in the back. Returned the product. I will try to order again.

If you're looking for a full size charger for $100 or less. This is the best you will get. Has limited duty cycles on the high amp scales. But does the job just fine even on my diesel vehicles.

No automatic charge function. It will boil your battery dry.

Does what it is supposed to do. Very simple, simple, NO frills but robust. Not made to be left unattended, not automatic in any way, purely manual operation for people who know what they are doing and will supervise the process. Old fashion but the simple power and overload protection is there

Came way faster then the shipping said +,was packed in 4 boxes for shipping +works as advertised +now the -the amp meter was hooked up backwards so i had to open it out and unhook a few wires and fix the issue -No cooling fan -but for $100 its a ok price.
