Best thing since Twin Peaks.
Slow to pick up, but well worth sticking with!At last, a chunk of serious drama that focuses on part of our culture that has been around for decades. The motorcycle club/gang.It's ability to survive and maintain it's energy in the face of what it confronts and who targets it's identity. Not so much an Easy Rider, Harley flick. Not a stunt mans' enterprise..but a solid bit of escapist drama, solidly rooted in protecting your patch. Be it the place you live, or the one you wear on your back.Very USA, in the me and my gun, frontier man stance. Very liberating how the women believe in the group.A plot and acting that gets tighter as it develops. Finds it's feet quite quickly and becomes engrossing, can't turn it off viewing.Personally, the best USA series, I have encountered since Twin Peaks. Can't wait until series three. As it moves out of The States.Refreshing slab of humour, gun stuff, get your man and get your own back TV.Throw in the growling Dyna Harleys, and it makes for nice balance of screen candy and "Now what?" viewing.Enjoy.I did.

sons of anarchy rocks
i bought the season 1 and 2 box set as i thought it would keep me going for a few weeks and was rather cheap so was not expecting it to be any good............boy was i suprised.i put season 1 on in the morning thinking i would watch an episode or two but from the go it drew me in and got me addicted and i ended up watching the whole season i a day.the script is well written and the characters are easy to relate to and you start to get taken on a long ride into the life of biker gangs and what a fantastic ride it is.i would recommend this show to anyone as every episode delivers in both season 1 and 2, all i can say is roll on season 3 and may there be many many more to come.

Having watched the first couple of episodes and not been ...
Having watched the first couple of episodes and not been sure it would be for me, I'm now hooked and ploughing my way through series 5. It is a strange blend - hardcore biker gang selling guns, coupled with sensitive family life behind the scenes, but it works. While not expecting it to be believable, there are still elements that stretch belief beyond reason( who can remain in the same gang as the guy who killed your wife and father?) but that adds to its charm!

Something is rotten in the town of Charming...
Kurt Sutter is definitely one of the best screenwriters around and his work is simply a guarantee for success. After the unforgettable protagonists of The Shield, Sutter now offers us the "Hamlet of Bikers", Jax Teller, son of the former founder of the Club, torn between the actual SAMCRO management and his deceased father's dream. An original plot supported by a great cast (including Kurt Sutter himself!), the first season of Sons of Anarchy is a gripping tale of how an outlaw club of bikers, who rule the Californian town of Charming and its weapons traffic, have to rapidly deal with greater issues...Overall rating: season 1 very good. Season 2 also good, but lacks of the innovation which characterized the first series.

Sopranos on Bikes, but no Tony, alas
I'm getting to the end of S1 and like this enough to have bought all the rest of the seasons. It's basically the Sopranos on bikes, but not as well written. A wannabe. The mother, played by Katy Sagal, reminds me deeply of Livia in I Claudius. This isn't a top-rank show, but is certainly a lot better than some out there. Worth watching but don't spend a fortune.

Biker Heaven
As a biker the original TV trailers for series one whet my appetite and I was not disappointed. This is a gritty drama based on a local MC (Motorcycle Club)and their criminal activity of gun-running. The researchers have done their homework and obviously have some excellent advisers as the rules of the club and the manner in which they are administered (violently) are close to the truth.....well as far as I have read on the subject! This is an excellent show and one not for the faint hearted. If you like bare knuckle fights, gangland executions, lies and deceit, twists and turns with some classic characters then this is a must; I've just finished watching series 3 and it just gets better!

Simple the best show ever!
Well what more can be said for Kurt Sutter's SOA, nothing it is simple the best series I have ever watched. The plots are fantastic, the characters are extremely well thought out and the actors chosen are simple brilliant. I have watched all up until series 3 and had to get them on blu-ray for that better viewing experience. To the gentlemen who described SOA fans as simpletons must also be of the variety, maybe you should head back to watching antiques roadshow and getting to bed at 7 to get up early and annoy commuters!I hope Mr. Sutter carries on for many more series as they get better and better.
