YEMA Motorcycle Modular Flip-up Helmet DOT and ECE Approved YM-929

GREAT helmet! I went through several helmets trying to find one that I really liked that wasn't $400. I had a yema 926 that I was going to keep if I didn't like this one. Then I found this and it is perfect. It has all the features I wanted and it's much nicer than it's predecessor. They really stepped up the quality and the price is the same!It's aerodynamic with very low drag, very comfortable with good venting, lightweight considering all its features, Bluetooth compatible, all of the liner/padding is removable which made installing my intercom much easier, and it's quiet as well. I was on a call driving 80 in DFW traffic and my friend could hear me clearly.I can't speak to longevity and usually I wait to leave a review for that reason but this didn't have any so I wanted to go ahead.The one con is that the quick release doesn't have a little pull strap like the 926 but I solved that by drilling a small hole and attaching one myself.All in all I highly recommend this helmet. You're not going to find better quality for value and you will not regret buying it.👍

The helmet looks nice in the add. But when you have it in your hands you realize you have been deceived. Let me start with the most obvious problem.It's a modular helmet. This means you can pull the front half of the helmet upwards on a hinge system and it will lock in the upper most position. This turns it into a open face helmet. Now. Typically, the chin area of a modular helmet is reinforced just as the rest of the helmet is. This helmets chin protection is very thin abs material the I can physically twist with my hands with very little effort. So to expect this helmet to protect your face in an impact....well,. It won't.Second,. When helmet is on your head,. And face shield is up,. Returning face shield to the "home position" should be effortless. Not this helmet! It flexes so severely that the pins the face shield is supposed to latch onto are out of alignment with the helmet and will not seat into it's proper location without squeezing the helmet at the ear areas toward center before the face shield will have enough clearance to pass the pins and seat at home.Also. The noise coming through the face shield mating surfaces and gaps is unbearable. Absolutely no insulation or foam in the modular portion of the helmet. And does not seal. This allows cold air and rain and road noise to infiltrate into your head and face. The 2 venting openings don't allow air flow into the helmet as far as I can tell. The shield will fog up with vents open or closed. Bottom line......no. I would not recommend this product. And I won't wear it cause I don't think it will protect me in and accident.

I broke one of the clips on the clear visor first time I wore the helmet. Company didn't respond to parts request on their website, but did respond after I left feedback here. They remedied fixed the problem.Pros: EcE approved, comfortable, customer service responded through Amazon and helped me out big time.Cons: a bit heavy for off road riding but fine for the street, flip down mechanism feels a little loose, runs tight in the face area.

Best modular helmet I’ve owned at this price. It’s not cheap feeling and the inside materials feel like quality. Sun visitor flips up and down with ease with the button. I would buy this helmet again in a heartbeat. Only downfall is the chin curtain pops off easily on mine. I’m thinking of gluing it in. It may be different on other helmets. I wear a size 7 hat and a medium is perfect! Thanks

It may be DOT approved but Thea helmet is tighter fit than advertised size and the chin guard comes off very easily and sits right under your chin. The rubber quick release fell off very easily. The helmet squeaks a lot is very annoying when you put it on. The inner visor slide is on the bottom left of helmet which is inconvenient for Bluetooth headset. The padding slides out every time you put the helmet on which is annoying as well. The vents look good and pushing the buttons seem well made but that’s about it only good things I can say about the helmet. Do not recommend this helmet.

You get what you pay for people. Cheap product. The back padding cover just slides out with every use. The two visors it came with, clear and dark, both broke on the first long trip I took. I've scoured the internet and cannot find replacements. I guess I'll throw it away. :(

I compared it with about 8 riders in my class. Range $200-700.Not every one had Dual rating DOT and ECE. None other helmets had easy release clip or chin flip comfort for easy on/off. Flip down sun visor was also a plus.It gets a little foggy but that was the case for all other riders but it can be improved but I am okay with small vent through glass. During summer driving with glass up and sunshade down is good enough for me.

Used for 3 months now. Absolutely love this helmet. Everything still works great. Super comfortable. My only complaint is that the speaker pockets are positioned too far back, but I just shaved the foam a bit and now they sound great. Amazing value for the $
