An extremely safe, light bike
As is standard on all German children's bike - the rear brakes are applied by peddling backwards rather than by the use of any clutch grip. This is proven to be much safer for children who are just learning to ride. A number of negative reviews of this bike have been through customers misunderstanding this, who complain thinking that there is no rear brake at all, or who don't realise that this type of brake is safer for children.

WARNING: only one brake!
The bike looks beautiful and strong. However we have yet to try it because one of the brake shoes was missing and we are now waiting for it to come from the seller.WARNING: this bike only has a front wheel brake. If I knew that - I could not find anything detailing this in their extensive description - I would never have bought it. I personally think that having only one brake and only in front, is dangerous. I'm disappointed. It gets three stars for quality.
