I used this bag most days for 5 years with at least a laptop in it. The thing that killed it was the top handle, a combination of stitching & ripping. It was a comfortable bag with useful pockets. I would buy it again if I didn't have a spare lying around from my son.

Really sturdy bag that has lasted all year and still looks brand new. Ideal for laptops and textbooks.

I bought this as a gift for someone who wanted a dedicated laptop carrier. This has a pocket of just the right size; and also a pocket for an iPad-sized tablet also, which was a bonus. The construction is pretty robust, and there are other pockets for sundry work items and elastic holders for water bottles either side. Another plus-point is the chest-fastening clip, which is just what you need if you're a bit round-shouldered and the straps otherwise tend to slip off. There is an airflow mechanism of padded strips to raise the bag from your back and allow air circulation.The other issue to mention is security. On the whole, I would have preferred it if the main zips were somehow concealed better, or that the backpack had come with a small locking padlock, to deter street-thieves. Having said that, the internal pockets for holding the laptop and tablet are covered by a fold-down large-area velcro patch, so if someone did get into the back of the bag, they would struggle to lift the flap, especially if the backpack was full of other stuff. I think I'll get a small padlock, though.

I took a long time to think which bag to purchase as there were many different options. Finally decided to go with this one and it has done well since then. Using it since 4-5 months now and definitely not disappointed.I wanted to carry my macbook, my lunch box, charging cables, magic mouse box, couple of books, water bottle and few other things. And all these things fit quite well in this bag.It's very comfortable and lightweight on the back to the extent that sometimes I have to physically check with my hand if my macbook is still in the bag.The one thing I didn't like it the hole for passing headphone cable from inside to outside. I don't use it and have hardly seen anyone using it. I am just worried a little about what will happen if it rains heavier then normal showers, will the water travel down from that hole straight to touch my macbook? (that's why 4 stars)Overall, I am happy.

This is an excellent backpack for work. I have been using it for a week now and it is very comfy to use - I walk around a mile each evening with the bag carrying ipad, papers, lunchbox, wallet, phone etc. There are plenty of pockets but once you have a system for putting everything in its place it is easier to find them. The ipad and laptop pockets are well-padded and the zips are good quality. It is comfortable on one or both shoulders and there is also a padded handle for carrying in your hand. The bag looks smarter than the average backpack.UPDATE: After 7 months of use one of the straps has a 1cm hole where it meets the bag and there is another split of the same size where the back meets the base. Both of these LOOK to be cosmetic at the moment - i.e. just in the very outer material. Disappointing though and I've reduced my rating from 5 to 4 stars.

Excellent backpack overall, if a very tight squeeze for my 15.6 in. even after removing (9 cell) battery pack. Excellent VfM at the price I paid and still good at current price. Takes lots of accessories and/or other stuff. Even looks good, too and it can take padlocks. Only way to improve it would be to make the internal pocket for the laptop ajust a little wider and make it fully padded all round. Overall very happy with it, although the fastening across the chest just won't fit across my 40 in. chest. Have had excellent use out of it for more than six months now.

It's lasted me 3 years, the last year was heavy use and now the handle has come off. One shoulder strap has started to pull loose and one zip tag was wrenched off by a train door. Otherwise it's kept looking tidy and holds all I need including a ridiculously heavy 15.6in laptop. Plenty of space

Good sturdy bag. Made for 15" screen so don't buy if 16" or more. It will be too small. All zips work and feel solid. Compartments are decent size. Bought this for my 10 year old who got a new lap top for Christmas. Perfect for adults too. Ample room. Good design. Paid under £20 so this was well worth it. It is said to be waterproof but I have not yet tried but appears good quality. I shall not throw it in a bath of water to check how waterproof it is.
