I wasn’t sure if this would work for us but the phone recording actually worked very well. We signed up by calling the phone number stated and typing in our code. We chose 2 days and times that I wanted to get the calls.I’ve answered about 8 questions so far - they seem to be pretty different each time - not chronological in your life order, but maybe this could be changed. I have also called the number a few times when I’ve had some extra time. I realized it works both ways. I’ve not seen my answers yet but my son gets a text whenever I record one. Happy overall!

This product is so amazing, I’m on my second one! I have now purchased one for each of my parents. It’s so easy to set up and so easy for my parents to record their answers. I know I will treasure hearing the answers and being able to play a recording of their voice forever. And what a special keepsake to be able to pass onto to our future generations!

This seems like my 10 year old daughter's favorite request at the dinner table besides asking for "a snack" when she still has a plate of food in front of her.I thought the activation process was pretty easy. I activated my subscription online with my smartphone. One thing I noticed was that the activation code in the box contains dashes, but when entering it while activating my subscription, the dashes will not be recognized. I had to enter just the numbers for the code to be accepted. Nothing that I could find provided information about how to enter the code.Once activated, I set up my profile and started to explore the site. I am impressed with the number of questions being asked as well as the topics. Some topics are general "who am I" type questions. However some very thought provoking, while others jog my memories about events that reside very deep within my mind. I had to figure out how to change the order of the questions in the queue, how to add questions to the queue, and how to take questions out that I prefer not to answer. There was not much information about how to work with the list of questions to customize it. I really think that is my only compliant of the process.Once I figured out how edit my list of questions, I started to answer them. I do have times set up for the service to call me, but I honestly prefer to call in myself. After recording my answers, I immediately get the recording and transcript loaded into my profile. The transcript is pretty good. I do make a few edits here and there, but, for the most part, it is really good at speech recognition. I've deleted and rerecorded the answers a few times if I did not like how it came out. A person may also write their stories in the space provided if they cannot or do not want to record it by voice. There is also a feature where there is an AI Biography Rewrite of the answer that puts it more in the first person, which is kind of neat.I found the initial set up to be a little time consuming, especially if you want to customize what questions are being asked and in what order or plan out the stories like I did. A user can take the predetermined list of questions that updates as questions get answered and just talk off the cuff if they want a no fuss way of doing this.I have looked at similar services for life story archiving and they are all pretty costly. Storii is very reasonable priced and I love that this allows the user to leave both written and spoken words. I have some people in mind who might enjoy Storii for themselves. I have a feeling that this will be on my Christmas gift list this year!

This really is an amazing idea! It makes a great gift for both the person telling the stories, as well as those that get to listen to them! Very easy to use. Simple and user friendly. Schedule can be adjusted and is flexible. We really like that you can answer the questions by calling in instead of having to answer them when they call you. The idea of having to answer the question on the spot is a bit stressful for me! Being able to call in on your own gives you time to think about what you might say. Overall, very happy with this item! May purchase additional to give as gifts!

So I first thought this would be perfect for my father-in-law who is getting up there in age and really needs to do this for my wife and her siblings. But he is from the south and his accent is pretty thick, so I figured the voice recognition wouldn’t work for him and I am pretty sure I was right.So I decided to use it for myself. Something for my kids/grandkids to have when I pass.The voice recognition is about 85% accurate. It doesn’t tell you anywhere on the box, but logging in to the website really gives you all the power. It has an app as well. On the website you can change the order of the questions, create your own, read your previous responses, listen to your previous responses, and even share access with family members.Like I said above, the voice to text is about 85% accurate. Not bad, but I wish it was better. Also, when listening to the recorded voice, it is off a little bit. It is just missing something. Almost like you can’t hear the inflections in your voice. Not a deal breaker, but if my daughter listens to this in a few years after I pass, I want her to hear her dad, not a monotone version.My last concern is what happens when I’m done? Does someone have to pay $100 a year forever? That just seems crazy. There should be a memorial option for a few hundred bucks. You can’t update any longer, but your contacts can read and listen. Something like that is necessary for this to be truly useful long term.Overall, nice but needs some more work.I hope this review was helpful!
