Commercial Push Broom By Flex Sweep (Contractors 24 Inch) Fine Bristles Smooth-Surface

Industrial/commercial use? Wait until you use this one at home! Winner!
I just used this broom to sweep the white ceiling, both textured and smooth finish, to remove the dust that accumulates around vents, up drafts, and registers. Worked great. I then took a chance on sweeping the tongue and groove walls in the Den, Hallway, and Laundry. Worked great there too. It even worked great on the door panels on the doors along with decorative trim. All in all it just did a better job than my favorite standby horsehair brush I would normally use and I cleaned the entire house in a fraction of the time. I don't imagine too many people thought of this for a push broom, but for those things you end up busting your back for in seasonal cleaning, or more often in a high desert climate, (including prepping tongue and groove walls for linseed oil treatment), this broom is fantastic. I did 3 hours work in less than 45 minutes and it did a far better job as well. After getting things swept into shape overhead and the walls I then tackled the real slate floor tiles. This broom with it's fine bristles worked better than my horsehair brush on the ceilings and walls, but not quite as good as my horsehair broom on the floor. Mighty close though and I checked by alternating between both brooms on different spots of the flooring. The horsehair caught a tiny bit more dust on the floor in each pass, but not by much. If you weren't looking for testing this you'd likely never notice. I also noticed it's easier to clean out this Flex-Power broom than it is the horsehair broom. Likely due to the material used that makes the bristles. All in all, if you're looking for the right broom for cleaning your home you can't go wrong with this one. There was zero play in the handle to broom head connection thus making it very secure. The handle, while looking like aluminum, seems far sturdier. You don't feel like you're holding a fragile nor cheap product. The end of the handle has a comfortable grip on it and the mid section has what appears to be an almost shrink wrap like electrical coating on it (for those familiar with electrical and electronic work) that makes it very easy and comfortable to grip. As for the long haul, give me another ten years and I'll let you know. I have a feeling though this broom will still be in service for me long past that time.

Beefy.
The moment I picked up this broom the word that comes to mind is stout. This thing is made well. There is nothing special about the broom part, but the way it is attached to the handle with the big flexible joint is great. It isn't just flexible it is also beefy. So in practice the broom doesn't really flex, but if you push on it really hard it does. The thing is super easy to assemble for someone who has assembled things before, and understands instructions and things like wing nuts. My only complaint at all for such an otherwise sturdy broom it uses split lock washers, which everyone knows do nothing at all. If you don't want the nuts to come loose, either make them really tight or use a lock washer that works like a Norlock. The long and hollow handle is sturdy but light. It appears when you look at it that the long black wrap in the middle would be like grip tape or cushion or something, it isn't. It is hard and not comfy. In use the broom is just a good broom. Plenty wide. My mistake is I got this for exterior and shop cleaning, but I got the fine bristles. If you want to push gravelly rocks and snow with this, you should get stiff bristles.

No exaggeration - best broom ever!
I feel like a real goon for loving this broom and being so excited about having it, but it's the best broom I've ever used! I grew up in a shop and I've worked in manufacturing/construction my whole career and nothing is worse than fighting with a poor quality broom. This broom though, I love sweeping my barn out now!

Terrific time saver
I would give this broom more than 5 stars if I could. I use it indoors. The bristles have the texture of an indoor broom, so it picks up all the pet fur and scraps lying around. I can push it or pull it. For being so wide, it's really lightweight. The broom head screws in, so it will always be tight and not get loose. This saves me so much time because it's so wide. I can sweep the floor in 1/4 the time that it took me with my old kitchen broom. I can use it on the carpet to pick up pet hair. This was pricy compared to regular brooms, but worth every penny.

I have bought and thrown away 30 brooms in 30 years and I think this one might just last 2 years. HEY! brooms wear out and what I'm saying is this one seams to be a little more durable than the ones I've bought in the past.Happy with my purchase
