Q: Can I use this as a G bender, or is it only designed to fit to the B string?

This bender is strictly for a B bender. However, I too was looking for a G bender. I contacted Van Rosa directly and set me up with prototype G bender that is not for sale yet as far as I know. Try contacting them directly, they might be able to set you up with something. Tell 'em Mitch sent ya!! :)

Q: Can the spring tension be adjusted or does it just have one fixed setting? What are the throw lengths?

My experience with this unit is limited, as when I was installing it, it quickly became very obvious that the materials and hardware are WAY to weak and cheaply made, and decided to return it before I finished the installation. The actuating arm and base are very thin metal, the cable ends didn’t fit correctly; the screws and nuts are about strong enough for a wristwatch, etc... I have worked with metal my whole life, so I do know what I’m talking about.

Q: I only need the strap button. Is there a way I can get it without buying the whole system?

It's just an ordinary strap button. They're available in music stores and online.

Q: The saddles i received do not resemble the saddles shown on this listing pics. the only ones that does is the b string saddle. why..?

Not sure mine came the same way. I reused my original saddles and the one adjustment screw for the B string and it works fine.
