I love it. Works well heated. If I need it to be cold, I'm sure it will work as well.

We bought this weighted, microwaveable stuffed animal with hopes of soothing our ADHD 5 year old. He picked out the animal of his choice- a Husky, which most resembles a wolf. He instantly loved it and named it. Oh boy, now we're in serious trouble if this doesn't pan out. That evening we froze it for 2 hours and it barely held the cool for 15 minutes and there was no scent of lavender. Okay. That's fine. I bet it is better warmed, right?! The next night we microwaved it from room temp for only 60 seconds based on the instructions and our microwave wattage. I began to wonder what the he!! I had cooked that smelled of rotting fish. Ding! Oh, it's the plush Warm Pals for our son to sleep with. Blech! He took one whiff of it after we tried to explain something was wrong and gagged! He screamed, "That's the most disgusting thing ever!" while plugging his nose. The adorable plush Warm Pals Husky reeked of rotting fish. We bagged it and put it outside the house until we ship it back. I cannot fathom how this product passed consumer testing for children let alone getting any actual positive user reviews. We are returning this weighted, outdated fish stick post haste for a full refund! Shame on this manufacturer!

This is a great gift for any age. Smells a little funny at first but great for comfort and keeping you warm great for sensory seeking kids.
