I have never purchased a magnetic clasp before, nor have I ever worn a necklace layered. I bought this as a last-ditch effort to keep a newly-purchased necklace I loved from flipping backward, thinking that if there was a counterweight on the back of the neck, the chain wouldn't roll. It didn't help with that but I discovered I liked the look of layering. I had older jewelry I wasn't wearing anymore because the size was just too small. (When you get older everything starts looking too small, lol.) It turns out these magnetic clasps were the solution to that. I now take my tiny diamond jewelry and put it over a larger piece and it looks great.Now I did have one scare with this that almost put me off using it again. Two of my necklaces (not cheap either) got tangled up because I was leaving them attached and then laying this in a drawer in my jewelry box. It took me almost 40 minutes playing Origami with my necklaces to get them untangled. Since then, I have been hanging up the paired necklaces on a hook. The weighted portion sometimes slides down to the bottom due to the weight but so far no more tangling.The one thing that still has me concerned is how long the magnets will last. I expected them to be harder to pull apart than they are. Sometimes I think that the biggest risk in wearing this kind of clasp is from long hair getting stuck in the opening and reducing the magnetic strength, or potentially catching while brushing one's hair. So far I just try to be extra careful when putting it on or brushing my hair.I do wish the magnets were a tad bit stronger but if they were too big, it could present some risk to the chain breaking instead of the clasp coming undone. I hope I don't come to regret using these but so far I am loving the convenience and the new life it has brought to jewelry that wasn't getting much use.

This clasp does what’s it’s supposed too but at times pulls down in the back. I layered too very dainty necklaces 16” and 18” and it works great but bc the necklaces are light weight the clasp can fall further down the back of my neck. But I’m still very happy with my purchase as without it I think my necklaces would be a nightmare to keep untangled.

Easy to use but I notice that the piece is heavy and can move my necklaces or pull my necklaces up my neck which is annoying. But they do work well. If you have a heavier necklace it might work a little better.

I like the fact it separates the necklace.

Works perfectly. No tangle but it is heavy. I'm constantly pulling the necklaces down in the front because it seems to weigh down in the back. That's my only problem with it.

You need this! I am used to wear more than one necklace at the time and my chains used to get tangled and all messy, until a friend send me the link for this double clasp.Its a GAME CHANGER! It keeps my chains for getting tangled and I loveee that it comes in 2 colors so I can change it when needed!Definitely rcommend it!

Finally someone thought of all the wasted time untangling necklaces and came up with this simple, yet genius device. Now I pair up the ones I use the most and I only clip them once without any hassle.
