50 Voskhod Double Edge Safety Razor Blades

The blades were excellent - moderately sharp (not necessarily a bad thing) and gives a smooth and comfortable shave. I have very sensitive skin around the neck region - this usually causes ingrown hairs and razor burns. So, multiple passes are not always possible. But even a single pass using this blade gives a very close and comfortable shave.I have only used a couple of other blades to compare it to - vs the Derby Greens, this is sharper and tugs less on coarse hair. For the second shave, both behave almost identically. With the Derbys, a third shave is just a pipe dream; But these blades can be used for up to 4 shaves comfortably.Compared to Astra Platinums (new ones with laser etching), this is equally sharp but i find the Voskhods much more smooth. After I got these, I haven't used the Astras at all.As with any blade, remember to shave in short strokes with very little to no pressure; This being slightly more sharper than the usual blades that I use, it goes doubly.I used this blade with a Merkur 34C and a Maggard's Mild v3 head. Both worked very well.

Super smooth shave. Stays sharp to get me through the week. Four shaves. I'm comfortable using this in my DE razor as well as my straight razor. Great value for this fine blade.

I love these blades.These, and the Wilkinson Swords from Germany, are my blades of choice.Smooth, sharp, comfortable with multiple shaves per blade.Not as expensive as the WS, and every bit as pleasurable to use.They make shaving a pleasure...something to look forward to.As they say, Your Mileage May Vary, but for me, I will always have these easily accessible.

Does exactly what it was designed to do

Ordered 100 of these for $5. Shaved three times with the first one with no issues but I’m thinking four times might be pushing it and at a nickel apiece I’ll probably only use them a couple of times anyway. Would have been worth twice what I paid.

I have tried a dozen different safety blades. These are my go to blades period. Extremely sharp, long lasting and smooth, comfortable blades to shave with. Great quality and value!

Shaving equipment is all a personal experience, keep this in mind. We each have our own hair type, skin type, routine and setup that all contributes to the overall experience for each individual item. I am not attempting to talk you out of trying these, you should absolutely try as much as you can to find the perfect match.That being said, these blades are garbage (for me).All over the forums people "ooh" and "ahh" when these blades show up in photos. I listened and pickup a batch here on amazon to give them a go. As a traditional Feather (secondary) or Astra (primary), I am used to a certain type of shave, let's call that type... "good".These were far from that experience.My first attempt resulted in the blade literally pulling hairs towards the end of the face shave. I ended up having to swap in #2 to finish up. With Feather I got a bad batch one time, so I thought this was the same experience. Since I have a few of these packages, I decided to pull another out, open it and give it ago. Same experience.For my skin type, these blades fall VERY short from completing even one single shave, no matter how many times i flip it, clean it... ect. I saw the exact same experience with BIC blades when I got a demo kit, where they would just fall short.Meanwhile, feather blades and Astra can get two or (sometimes) three shaves per one blade without any noticing of pulling hairs.
