I searched every Smart Box as I wanted to update my old one I bought a few years ago. I chose this one on the reviews and hoped it was as good as everyone said. It was!! Brilliant little box, its only small but dont let that put you off ... Easy to install and because Ive had experience before in downloading, I found it easy to put Kodi on this and add other movie/tv add ons and thats also using the remote supplied. I didnt find the remote hard to work with, it was a lot easier than my last one and has a bigger curser. I just searched online for downloads and there is really great step by step info to help those who want to add stuff .. You can also use Google Play to add iPlayer etc .. 100% recommended and at a seriously great price

Before I begin with my review I'll just mention that it was well packaged and came in a box you'd expect from a high end phone or tablet.This box is REALLY good, the only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because I had some issues with android core system apps crashing over and over, forcing me to power the device Down. I think I narrowed it down to there being too many apps installed, this was after I'd installed 4 or 5 known to work apps on it myself though. Nova Launcher also refused to start, which is also a let down, but not a deal breaker. The device is working fine now.The firmware is based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat, and isnt too bad to use, the launcher feels a tad basic though. As far as responsiveness is concerned, the system feels like a higher end phone or tablet, no lag in menu selection or app opening etc. It's really easy to get setup and is very similar to a tablet in layout.I've installed kodi onto my device and I have it configured to access my NAS media server, every 1080p movie I played looked spot on and played back flawlessly. I don't have a 4k tv so I couldn't test that aspect of the device performance, but I would imagine 4k would be just as smooth.The remote control supplied is surprisingly functional and the dedicated kodi app launch button is a treat, the remote control has a good range and working angle, so I'm happy to use that til i can get my hands on a keyboard+trackpad combo.The thermals on this box are okay, it doesn't appear to be overheating, but the only ventilation holes are on the bottom of the device, so i would suggest at least giving it a little room for ventilation or it may not last very long.Physically the device looks as you would expect, it has a decent build quality and looks at home in any living room, the display on the front is nice to have and shows the time and various status information for the device. It's also very small, no bigger than a few coffee table coasters stacked on top of each other.Conclusion time.. Overall after spending the day with this Android TV Box, I can say I'm happy with my investment, I've put it through its paces and it does the job its meant for very well, the box I bought before this(and instantly refunded) was the exact opposite of this box in every way, awful firmware, constantly crashed, very laggy, didn't want to boot up into android 90% of the time, this X Pro is like a breath of fresh air in comparison.TL;DR if you want something for your living room media setup that's excellent for the price, is small, has enough performance, and is easy to get setup use, then this is the device for you.

Product was fine, but wasn't what I expected. Could not link to internet to stream programmes.

Stopped working after 2 months and can't see anyway of returning or exchanging the device!!
