Drove it for 300 miles with the cover on, and it worked to my surprise. I was driving around with an exposed intake and kept getting ICV and MAF codes but once I installed this I haven't gotten those codes. It felt nice and snug, yellow looks good in there too! I was so anxious to drive it in the rain storm and I accidently even went through a fat puddle but the car was fine! Drove through snow and it was ok! 10/10 recommend. I would recommend for you guys running a long tube to get a water bypass valve intake (do some research).

So, I decided to install this pre filter on my car along with my new intake and new filter, the new intake set up pulls from right behind my front bumper and sits probably 8-10 inches up away from the road, so tonight I decided to take it out on a test run since we had some storms move into my area, WELL about 5 minutes into my drive I noticed my car didn’t seem right not like it’s usual self. So I decided to turn around and head back home because I got kinda nervous since I was testing this out it was late and the weather wasn’t the best. Keep in mind that I didn’t hit any deep water, It was just a moderate rainstorm and I was just cruising down the 4 lane highway by my house. Just a few seconds later I started getting a misfire then my car went into limp home mode. (I was only a few miles from home but still). So I get it home pop the hood and the filter was pretty well soaked. In the pictures (which aren’t great) you can see the dark blue spots are all places where water had completely soaked through and I pull it off and my filter is completely damp from where the rain had came in through the openings in my bumper. Now all I can do is hope it’s dry before I go to work in the morning. I’m really disappointed in this and the fact that it messed my car up even after reading all the good reviews on it. I’ll definately be going with a name brand version of this instead. Maybe my pre filter was just faulty and wasn’t treated with hydrophobic coating right. But I’m incredibly disappointed and would tell people to steer away from this product if you care about your engine at all because it can’t even stand up to a bit of mist from a rainstorm and water coming through the openings in my bumper which are in the center of my bumper and this intake is sitting behind the driver side part of the bumper. So it deflected absolutely little to no water at all and the rest went right into my filter. I wanted this product to work. But it didn’t AT ALL

Great fit and I love that the loops allow you to attach the sock to the O ring that keeps the filter on. That keeps it from falling off. Sturdy fabric. As far as waterproof, it seems hydrophobic, but I still won't be driving in any puddles.

I bought this for my cold air intake that is on my Hyundai Tiburon. The intake is in the bumper. The cone is pretty big. I'd previously bought one of these that was too small. This one fit perfectly. I live in a place where it can rain quite a bit. When I put the intake on I wasn't thinking. For almost a year I feared rain storms. Lol. For good reason, as rain would often get into my intake. Causing my car to putter & stall out. I'd often have to sit with the engine off for awhile & eventually try to restart it. Snow had same effect if it was slushy on the ground. For awhile there, driving was not fun. Unfortunately, my original intake was all messed up. That's why I replaced it. I put this on & what do you know? I can drive like a normal car again. I have had absolutely no issues. No water has got into the system. I have driven in plenty of rain storms and snow. It works so well that I completely forget that I ever had an issue. I couldn't possibly be more happy about this. My only complaint is to myself. I wish I had bought one of these when I put the damn intake in. Lol. What oh what was I thinking?

I bought the F102 which was supposed to fit my Spectre 8132 filter, and it kinda did almost maybe. realistically it was too short buy 1/2" to 3/4" to really stay on well. I sent an email to Filterwears and they told me the correct filter was F103. So I bought one and it works fine being about 3/4" longer. So good product and I won't take any stars from it because I bought the wrong size.

Awesome for keeping your main filter clean especially if you don't want to put oil on your filter!

Using it on a K&N filter for street use. Had to trim the excess material from the inside where it was sewn together to get it on properly. It definitely keeps the filter clean and dry. I'm running an EFI Ford with fairly aggressive camshafts and a single plane manifold. It does seem to cause a slight restriction, I had to raise the idle a little to compensate, but not enough too effect the butt dyno. Haven't been to the track yet. Gonna make at least one run with it on too see what the time slip says.
